Store was great and clothing appears to be quality. Staff seems professional and appeared somewhat knowledgeable. However the day I bought some items at around $300 I left but returned 30 min later to purchase another pair of shorts. Staff was again friendly but one staff member was going on and on with another customer about a program MM was offering if you spend $500 than your start accumulating points which equates to discounts for future purchases. This was new to me and I was not informed of this. So I the customer had to ask about the program. Did I feel discriminated against? YES Staff did not even acknowledge this misstep or apologize for not informing me 30 minutes prior. I can't make excuses for them like they were busy and forgot. When I was initially there, there were two staff members and no customers. Very disappointed! There clothing is expensive and I would think if there are trying to appeal to a target market that is willing to pay their prices they would also offer consistent professional service to all and not discriminate. I would suggest going on line and buying direct rather than taking a chance on unprofessional staff. Or go check it out and buy your product on line. Word of warning!! Shopping here was a tale of two energies.

First, Nia — what a light. From the moment we walked in, her service was warm, attentive, and genuinely joyful. She made us feel welcome, heard, and valued — the kind of customer care that turns a quick visit into an experience worth remembering.

On the other hand, there was a noticeable shift when interacting with Ryan, the manager. The energy he projected wasn’t just aloof — it carried a tension that hung in the air. It wasn’t about words said or unsaid, but the unmistakable feeling that presence can carry. In a space where customer connection is everything, that kind of energy cannot be brushed off as a bad moment or “just a vibe.”

I wanted to leave a short review of my interactions with Mizzen + Main's Austin (Domain) location. Primarily, I was fortunate to have met Helaina the first time, having her there the second, and third time I've been to the store. She's a gem and took fantastic care of me.

Now to the store - it's well lit, nicely laid out, and has a variety of clothing that is elegantly displayed. I've owned a few of their clothing items and have worn them all over the world. The shirts are my go-to now for international flights and long days of work. The pants have been excellent as well.

I'd highly recommend visiting the store there and engaging with the team - if they can make me look dapper, you're in excellent hands.

PS: They're super kid-friendly. My boys were well received and the staff was very nice to them....
