Catalina Island Undersea Expedition Horrible Customer Service at Kiosk I recommend going to a different submarine tour

I travelled to Avalon on 06/30/2021 with my partner, who decided to surprise me for my birthday (06/30) with a submarine tour. I was worried, because we already had a packed day and this tour made the day even more jammed packed. He bought the ticket morning of (I was on a different boat) for 06/30 3pm tour. Needless to say we (he was at the submarine) didn't make it on time because I was waiting for our lunch. He attempted to get a refund, which of course was denied due to your policy. I attempted not long afterwards, I thought perhaps the person at the kiosk would have some sort of sympathy since it was my birthday (ID at hand).

I don't believe I will get a refund, but I wanted to complain about the person running your kiosk. Sympathy was far from what I received, I understand policy, I work for a government agency and it involves following strict laws, what I don't understand is someone having a cold heart and horrible customer services. The woman at the kiosk was beyond rude. Again, I understand explaining that a refund cannot be given due to company policy, but she had the audacity to say that my partner "needs to get me another birthday present" because the submarine left literally one minute before I arrived. I could not believe that she would say that. That is her opinion and has nothing to do with my request for a refund. This was negativity that was unnecessary and I hope that there are some repercussions. If she did this to me, who's to say that she isn't doing it to others.

First time parasailing! I choose the cute pink boat with the cute orange/pink/purple parachute at Catalina islands . The boat ride was ROUGH! 0/5 Driver could of handled it better but seemed to not care even when passengers were screaming and showing signs of fear/anxiety! There were mostly young petite females and 2 senior men on the boat so you would think the driver would be more gentle. Anyways I dislocated my left shoulder and my hips were unbalanced by an inch on one side! Went to the chiropractor a day after my trip and it was confirmed I dislocated my shoulder and they placed my hip back to where it’s supposed to sit. I know I signed a form and I am not going to sue , but the diver could of really been more considerate of the passengers comfort and well being . Over all experience was 5/5 only because it was amazing experience when I was up in the air parasailing! Coming back down and landing was perfect too. But keep in mind I dislocated my shoulder and hip while on the boat ride before even getting strapped up into the parachute 🪂 I felt a discomfort but didn’t think anything of it because the boat ride was so rough and seemed like it would be reasonable why I was in pain . a few times my entire body bounced into the air while sitting because of how crazy the waves were and the way the driver handled it . Ridgetop Eco Adventure Tour was fantastic! My wife and I sat in the second row of the Hummer (directly behind the driver). I am 6'03" and I found that spot to have plenty of room. The tour took us to high elevations and the back of the island where the views were amazing! At one point we got up close and personal with a large bison that was just hanging out. The driver/tour guide was outstanding. He provided a great narrative with great music and he was hilarious. My only caution is to reiterate the part about people with back or neck problems probably shouldn't do this one.
