My wife needs to see a doctors and a quick search on google provided this as the only facility available within 60 miles. There was no mentioned at all on their website about “walk-in” not being welcomed.

For the life of me I cannot comprehend why healthcare providers place employees that are incapable of treating customers with dignity and respect in customer facing positions. This receptionist appears better suited as part of the welcoming committee at a “Russian Gulag”.

A local gentleman, who happened to witness the interaction, apologized for the treatment we got, even though he had nothing to do with it.

We went to the “Beach Pharmacy of Avon” and asked for help. The Pharmacist (God Bless him) apologized for the treatment as well, even though he had nothing to do with it, and as it turned out was more help that we thought possible. He gave us information about “myphysician360” and $59 and 45 minutes later, a prescription was called to the pharmacy for my wife to pick up.

All I can say is that in no way this healthcare facility represents the values of the wonderful OBX community. My goodness, how do they stay in business is beyond my...

I had an appointment to be seen for an ingrown hair that had become infected. It hurt so bad that I had to keep my arm up and not let it touch any part of my body. We were 10 minutes late to the appointment and were told they wouldn't take me. Mind you we have a 6 week old baby and drove from Hatteras. When talking to the receptionist on the phone, we were told it would take 20 minutes so we left 30 minutes prior. I called them on the road and told them we were running behind even though we left with ample time. Well, it took 40 minutes to get there. Not one person was in the waiting room when we got there. We asked about a grace period and they said it was 10 minutes. We were 10 minutes late and still didn't take us. I then asked if the doctor has another appointment soon and she said they could not disclose that information, which most likely means the doctor was eating lunch. Terrible will never go back to outer banks hospital In fact I am going to hire a lawyer to sue for malpractice. On top of that they are trying to charge me $542.00 for injecting the Contrast in my arm instead of my veins. Which caused my arm to Swell up to four times its normal size. The pain was so bad I couldn’t hardly stand it. Then they took me out to my transport and sent me home Without doing anything for the pain except for a warm Compress. I had to go to my doctor who has photos of my arm. Right arm got the contrast left arm had bad bruising where they blew out vein trying to put in port. Port in left arm was pulled out of position by young assistant in imaging area then they started procedure. Pumping contrast into the arm causing extreme pain.
