That was the third time I'd been into Plato's Closet the first two times I was well the first time I went in I was told that it was too late for me to bring clothes in to have them sorted because they had already shut down that part of the store so they can't do that. Second time I went in they told me to be an hour wait and told me if I came left the clothes there and came back the next day I would not get the cash I'd get some credit. So I left with my clothes and everything and third time I went in I brought stuff in I brought a pair of Klogs. A pair of old Skechers but they are basically brand new I only wore them three times. Two pairs of pants with denim jeans basically jean jacket five shirts from Torrid a shirt from Kohl's and and some powder compact pads or whatever they are for your powder foundation from ulta. And a backpack purse in a purple camo purse. They kept the jeans kept the shirts I don't think the price that they gave me was very very good they gave me $25 and some change back. I know for a fact one of those pair of pants were from Kohl's in there 51 dollars a pair. I think I kind of got jipped just a little bit on the money back but it is what it is they gave me back the shoes both pair and jean jacket camo purse in the backpack purse and the powder compact pads things whatever they are I don't know they are. They informed me they couldn't take the Skechers because they were the older style. And I know for damn well that people still buy the classic Skechers so I'm not sure what they're talking about. I'm the Klogs. Good night too many people buy those kind of shoes anymore. But what I've been told is that Plato's Closet is very picky on the items that they buy from you. They want the newest items you can buy and give them. So it is what it is but besides that the staff are nice they were very polite and very...
Read moreWent in about a couple weeks ago with two trash bags of clothes.. Was told they won’t take trash bags with clothes but I can “buy” one of their tote bags.. I walked out.. Went couple days ago with the clothes in TOTES, low and behold they’re accepting TRASH BAGS filled with clothes.. Same girls as last time I went in too.. Left my clothes for an hour and half for them to NOT go through my clothes and pulled a belt from the top to “buy” from me.. They claimed it was due to style but they didn’t even know there were halter tops and formal dresses in these totes.. All of that STILL FOLDED NEATLY IN THE BOTTOM OF THESE TOTES.. Worthless, waste of time, and only favors their friends who shop there..
Owner can’t read apparently, responded with a bs response. Claims they don’t accept trash bags of clothes while ignoring the fact THEY HAD TRASH BAGS OF CLOTHES ON THEIR COUNTER FROM ANOTHER PERSON THAT THEY ACCEPTED JUST FINE. Not to mention the sales person claiming they HAVE TO SORT THROUGH EVERY CLOTHING ITEM AND NOW THE OWNER...
Read moreThe staff in reality is clueless at this place and don't really care. This was my first visit here to sell my clothes. I arrived at this place and after check in was told that it would take an hour to sort through my stuff because of the people ahead of me. I cam back after an hour and was told that it would take another half hour. Left the store and came back in a half hour later and was asked to wait another half hour. After two and a half hours of this back and forth I just left without them even going through my clothes. I completely understand that sometimes it gets busy and it takes time but you have to realize that customer's time is important too and this place needs to do a better job at estimating the time. If the initial estimate was an hour, hour and a half makes sense but two and a half hours does not. That is not how business is done. I called in to talk to the manager and the person in-charge at the time did not really seem to care about this concern and was okay with me leaving a bad...
