Exchanging three pairs of blue jeans for different size and length. Jeans had been ordered online. I was impressed by your policy that enables me to return any item to my local store. This was my first visit to any Old Navy. I was not aware that the store was not full service. I first looked for a check out desk for returns, and when none was found I then looked for the check out desk in the jeans area. At no time was I approached by a sales associate asking me if I needed assistance. I determined that the only check out desk was the one centrally located in the store. I explained to the associate that I would like to exchange the three pairs of jeans for different size and length (one pair) and different length (two pairs). Your employee was happy to help me, but she refunded (to my purchasing credit card) the total amount. I let her know that I only wanted to exchange the items, and that I didn't require any refund. She then told me to go ahead and choose my new size/length, and bring them back to her. I had no idea where the particular styles were located, and employee pointed to one area and then said that the display for the 3rd pair was located in front of the check out desk. I realize that there is a standard practice in discount retail stores that customers are expected to do more for themselves in order to keep costs at a minimum. But I am not sure that the process works for everyone. I was trying to find my correct length for 2 items, and was not having much luck (what with moving stacks of denim around). Finding the correct inseam length on my desired size I proceeded to the last display. I was searching for a size 14 Tall, and went through the table of jeans twice with no luck. I brought the 2 pairs that I did find back to check out desk, and told employee that I was unable to find the size/length for the 3rd pair after going through the available jeans at the front display. The young lady then let me know that sometimes the jeans I was looking for were not stocked in-store in much volume, but that she would be able to order them for me and have them delivered to my home address at no extra charge. That service will always be appreciated. She then gave me the receipt for the store refund to my credit card and proceeded to check me out. At one point she asked for assistance from her manager, but the final checkout was routine. I received the jeans a week later (there was apparently some delay in getting the correct size and length). I'm happy to report that all three pairs fit very nicely, and that the length is what I wanted. I am usually not the best at saying that I need additional assistance from any sales person, but I really could have used just a couple minutes of their time. I will continue to shop at Old Navy (both online and at my local store), but I will definitely ask for the sales associate to come away from the checkout to make my search a much better experience. I will say that your employee was polite, willing to help me, and that she knew when to get assistance for herself instead of trying to wing it. ...
Read moreAlways got a great customer service here at this Old Navy in Avon, until today, Sat 9/23/23, 5:45 PM! Needed to return a few items that had been in the bag from the day I got from the store. Realized I got wrong sizes so did not take any out of the bag, just brought the whole bag back to the store. The cashier with ID 3446038, a female cashier with tattoos on both arms, kind of big built, she took the stuff out the bag and YELLED OUT LOUD "WHY THE SHIRT WET?" I was surprised. The stuff never got out of the bag! I touched it. The whole shirt was totally dry! I am not sure what happened to her and why she reacted like that, but it was very rude! Why did she screamed at customers like that? and for thing that not even true! Very strange and odd woman! I do not want to come back to that store so I don't have to deal with...
Read moreI used to love Old Navy, so I dont know if this one in particular is different or if the whole chain has changed. Anyways... they have a great selection of men's clothes and my husband loves their large selection of shorts in so many different colors. As for me, I am right in the middle of being able to wear normal sizes and plus sizes at times. Some of the tshirts here fit me, but they dont carry clothes for the plus size ladies. In today's market, most other big retailers have begun to carry a wide variety of sizes and Old Navy just hasn't risen to that level yet. So for now, we will continue to shop elsewhere unless we are looking specifically for men's colored shorts or women's flip flops: the only two things that are really worth making the...
