This place is getting worse in some respects and better in others. I like the cashiers for the most part. They are friendly enough and quick enough. I think they should always keep 3 registers opened by around lunch time oneward until after rush hour. Meat guys are friendly and the guys cutting meat are great. What needs work and I mean SERIOUS WORK is the deli area. First off Im waiting FOREVER for someone to even come out to greet me. Meat manager came out to tell the 3 women that they had a customer. Because they were too busy in the back laughing and screwing around. They went from happy and smiling to frowns when they came out to help me. Like I was inconveniencing them to have to earn their pay. I wanted fried chicken and it was around 1:30. She told me none was available (which i could clearly see) she told me it would be a while, about 30 minutes. So I had to just leave basically and go grab food elsewhere. Left my cart of groceries behind. This is actually the 4th time this had happened to me. Didn't matter if I came at 11 AM, Noon, 1:30, or 4 o'clock she NEVER has the chicken available and she's NEVER friendly. I had to go to Vons to get chicken ready to go. I used to work for a way bigger grocery store than Stater bros and we had the chicken out like clockwork. Also two of the times I recently purchased chicken here they used rancid oil. What's the deal here? If you cant get her to do her job right get a new deli clerk. She's in her 50's I'd wager but she acts like a child and works like one too. Next time this happens I'm just calling corporate honestly because this is...
Read moreThis is a 5 star for the team! Corporate making the team move items daily during a remodel in the middle of the holidays is a nightmare . God bless the A teamâŚ. Also it would be nice to hire a security guard to take the burden off the team to deal with daily scary events. Frances is a doll and is always smiling no matter how busy she is! The produce team are ALL kind, helpful and work very hard to keep it pristine. Corporate discontinued loose organic apples which will force me to go to a different store for those, though Eddie the amazing store manager is trying to special order them as I buy 15 every few days. Jessie the meat manager runs a fine tuned clock! He knows all of his customers and goes above and beyond to order the specific meats that his customers request. He is joyful, kind, and his team work together to support one another in unity! Everyone is nice and helpful. Steve keeps the cold section stocked and jumps to the register when needed. Heâs always happy and kind! Christian the manager is very efficient and no job is too small. He is known to be putting loads of heavy ice cream away while helping anyone in his path. He protects his store at all costs without letting anyone bully, haggle , threaten, or hurt his loyal customers. All of the bag clerks are friendly, kind, and always are willing to help you out to your car! The attitude of the A-team is always positive ! This store is 1 big happy family and Iâm grateful that itâs my number one grocery store! God bless you all ! You all deserve a bonus...
Read moreVery disappointing that after so many years of honest practices, Stater Bros has begun to "play games" with misleading advertising. Example: Online ad shows beef Chuck roast sale price $3.99/lb. Upon arrival we found many Chuck roasts but ALL at $5.99/lb. The butcher said â$5.99 is for âCHOICEâ roasts because they have less fatâ. I looked again and there were none without the word âChoiceâ. When I brought this to his attention he replied âWe must be out thenâ. My wife saw a beef product in a most unlikely corner of the store's refrigerated section. FAR from the meat dept. Sure enough, there were 3 roasts at $3.99/lb that did not say âchoiceâ, but they were WAFER THIN and nearly out of date! This wasnât a first. Several months ago they played the same pseudo âbait n switchâ with hams. Many higher priced hams in the meat department, but stumbled upon a few âon sale hamsâ in the same obscure corner. Shady way to...
