San Fernando Coffee Company — Restaurant in Azusa

Coming in with my sister, I was so pleasantly surprised by all the food options! I honestly feel like I manifested this perfect breakfast spot. So many times I go for coffee and there's nothing substantial to eat, or I go to a breakfast place for food and they only have drip coffee, no special lattes. But here? I ordered a chai latte and a ham, bacon, avocado, and egg croissant, and it was heavenly. They were so generous with the avocado, the bacon was excellent quality, and the eggs were clearly fresh, real eggs – not like those pre-made ones you get elsewhere. My food was genuinely a 10/10, and my chai was delicious!

It's really annoying to see someone visit, especially during a soft opening, and then complain their drink wasn't to their liking. It's truly not hard to speak up and give the barista a chance to fix your order; I'm sure they wouldn't have minded. I don't think one single bad drink justifies a one-star review, but that's just my opinion. People are often so bold behind their keyboards but won't say a word in person. You know what you are signing up for when you come in during a SOFT OPENING. Soft openings are for working out and kinks and to fine-tune any training.

I was on my way to the Bay and decided to swing by my alma mater, APU. I pulled into a familiar shopping and food plaza in search of some coffee and spotted this shop on the corner.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by one of the kindest baristas (forgive me, I forgot her name). She explained the different coffee options, and I asked if they could make a pour-over. She wasn’t sure at first, but her colleague Griffin stepped in, gave her the assist, and even prepared one for me—despite it not being on the menu. I really appreciated that extra effort.
