Kaiju Noodle House — Restaurant in Azusa

Used to love this place but very disappointed with our last visit with how unprepared they were.

Called a week ahead to reserve a table for 17 and even we arrived they seemed confused as if they didn't know we were coming in. Luckily it wasn't crowded yet so we were seated quickly.

After taking only four people's orders, they stopped taking orders, brought out those people's food before continuing to take orders. One person's food never arrived, even after they asked twice "is there anything else?" and we told them what was missing. They got their food after everyone had finished eating.

They scamming takeout customers!!! I ordered #24 the pho with beef, I got a decent amount of broth but a small container FILLED with noodles and ONLY THREE pieces of meat!!! This is such a scam I need more then three pieces of meat! Also I love Vietnamese food I know what pho is supposed to taste like and this place MUST be watering down their broth! It barely tastes like anything the flavour is so weak it’s very disappointing. Also they stereotyped me!! They had they audacity to give me a fork and spoon instead of giving me chopsticks like the other customers! Honestly I don’t think I’ll ever come here again which is sad because it’s one of the few Vietnamese...

This family-owned business usually never disappoints. We love the veggie pho because the broth is vegetable based, not chicken stock. The vegetables are always cooked to perfection and the portions are decent. On our last dining experience, we ordered the vegetable dumplings which came out very quickly. At first bite, I realized they were not vegetable but some kind of meat. While the place was busy, we couldn't find anyone to flag down fast enough before they delivered the correct order because the first one was chicken dumplings.
