Sushi Ara — Restaurant in Azusa

Terrible service and so much rice in sushi. We ordered all you can eat sushi. the server took forever to take our paper and after that, they kept asking us if we were “sure” that we wanted to order everything. The rolls then came out and we had began to eat. As we were eating, we we’re still waiting for the nigiri to come out and it never did for like 20 min until i had to ask them to bring it out. 10 min later, they came again and asked us if we were “sure” we wanted to get it. we said yes and they finally brought it out after another 10 min. I already noticed that there was so much rice under the sashimi and they were rushing us to eat it. They gave the check early and asked to pay long before we were even close to being finished. they then came back to us and told us specifically not to leave any bits of rice from the sushi. We left after finishing our food that wasn’t even good...

Poor service. Wasn't terrible, just sub par compared to other places nearby. AYCE menu was confusing. There's no reason to have 2 papers with AYCE on one side and a la carte on the other. Have 1 paper for AYCE and one paper for a la carte. I didn't know half the AYCE menu because of those papers.

Rolls were decent, but the thai tea I ordered had no flavor at all. It was like watered down milk. I asked for more tea but it just tasted the same. Bland.

I don't recommend this place, go to Sake Roll across the street. It's small but I'm a regular and they are consistently good...

A delightful sushi experience. Good food, good date spot potential.

The servers were friendly and helpful. When it comes to the price to value and experience ratio, I would say it's a five-star sushi spot. Their sushi is reasonably priced compared to the quality. Quality of the fish is pretty good. I would say the plain eel cuts were not worth it, but the rest definitely was.

Atmosphere was great. It has great aesthetic appeal and felt like a good place to hold a conversation. It's the type of place I can see myself bringing a girl on a date or treating some relatives...
