FYE — Local services in Bakersfield

My husband and I came to this place and we saw they had good stuff but when it came to paying everything change. We were waiting for a while for a person to come to the counter and she came out of no where and we were like okay maybe she was busy in the back but then it went more down when she didn’t know what they were promoting in the store. There was a place where there were movies and it said buy one and get half off the second one. So my husband got 4 movies (because again the promotion said buy one and get half off the second one) so when it was time to pay it wasn’t the total we expected. We asked the lady if it wasn’t buy one and get half off the second one? And she responded it’s only music and I said no it says there on the promotion MUSIC, MOVIES, and BLUERAYs. And she said oh let me check. And then she said it’s only on the ones that have stickers…NONE OF THEM HAD STICKERS!! It clearly said on the place where they had their movies. How does an employee not know what the promotion is. Fast forward while paying she made a comment to my husband saying that promotions they have customers get confused so all the customers are wrong. First off, you never say that to a customer about other customers saying they are wrong. So fast forward I was telling my husband that the store needs to retrain their employees because why would they be promoting something and it’s not true. It’s FALSE ADVERTISING! While we were walking out she follows my husband and I when we were leaving the store and yells “ITS THE COMPANY” but yet she didn’t know what they were promoting. That girl needs retraining in what ever they are promoting and also it doesn’t look professional when you are yelling at customers and follow...

I went today and went straight to the vinyls to find one that said it had been in stock. When i couldn't find it i went to the register and asked an employee if they had it in stock. Once i went up to him he looked at the picture said no and simply walked away while i was still trying to talk. I followed him to ask about 2 other vinyls and he said we have none of those in stock but very rudely. I soon left after he was being rude because nothing else interested me. On the way out a different employee greeted us out and the one that was being rude stayed quiet. Overall i would rate the things in the store a 4 because they don’t have the widest variety of stuff but they have stuff that would be hard to find in a regular store. The employees i would rate also a 4 because i have never came across this problem any other time i went. It's average. Used to have more and prices where reasonable. Now it seems way to expensive. Their "sales" is like taking $2 off and that's it. What made me laugh a bit is this.. I saw a basic Blu-ray complete season of one of my favorite shows price tagged at $69.99 "on sale" for $64.99. The reason it made me laugh is I bought a limited edition Blu-ray/dvd + digital copy with a few other things included for $56.99. Next thing is place does not look clean at all. it's one thing for a parking lot to be slightly dirty, but when ya have a dirty ripped wet looking shirt near your front door that's just hella lazy.
