Kern County Superior Court — Local services in Bakersfield

It has been our experience that Judges, Court Clerks, DA's, and all other employees work together to make it almost impossible to file any type of legal documents. We have seen motions rejected on one day for (not original copy) then refiled the very next day and rejected as (untimely)! Hum yet they accepted the motion at the time of filing! I smell a rat! This system has not changed one bit since Ed Jagels was running the place! A shame! The Judicial System in the State of California is being made to look like a complete "JOKE"! By Kern County Superior Court Judges! They should be in control but instead it has been our experience that most or all are under the DA's thumb! It seems that the Judges have no guts to do the right thing, and follow the letter of the law! Kern County has it's own laws!

All the motions we filed were "Originals" and they acted as if everything was fine when we served them! yet days later when we arrive for the Court Date, we find out after hours of waiting that all the motions were rejected! The Court Date was canceled, but we were never informed! Good Work! The only way for we the People to make a difference is to enact laws to hold this type of actions, accountable as to all involved! Employee's, Judges, DA's ect. But mark my words every Judge, DA's, and Employees would be against any law that would make them accountable! The dirty business of "law in Kern County" continues! It is more than just a shame...

This court really needs to get there consistency in order. I Filed for a petition for dissolution, however, realize that we needed to change a section. Filed An amended petition only changing two sections, and the amended petition was rejected with a laundry list of things wrong.

For example, the court address is wrong on the documents. However, literally states on Google search with the address of “1415”… only after I called the court to confirm their address and was told that it’s 1215. But if you Google Kern County Superior Court, it comes up as 1415.

The clerks are inconsistent. I called the court and literally said how is it that I filed a petition that was accepted and filed, but I filed the amended petition, and it comes back with a laundry list of rejections. The court clerk stated that it must’ve been things overlooked. Respectfully, how is that my problem? And mind you, these were rejections that were so minuscule, like a font size was too small.

I believe that spending some tax dollars on retraining, and properly training, the court clerks should be worked in the budget for the next fiscal year. To avoid delays, frustration, and to promote...

The question people should be asking is where is Jose Benavides ? Well he isn't at the Kern Superior court anymore due to the lack of respect for a human being in the court room D. He mocks people and belittles and that is against the law. The microphones in the court room are not there to hold you accountable but to monitor the judges. Jose I believe is now over in Shafter and Commanco " spelled incorrectly? is now serving in his place. The courts, The website and everyone that deals with this place is supposed to look after the kids best interest but they can't even do that bc of all the appointments that the Judge, Attorney's have that not just pertain to court but also with appointments they have in their personal life. Laws have been voted in and ignored in court all bc of one law and that law gives the judge the authority to make his own decisions due to the best interest of the children.
