My kids and I have to walk half an hour to get to Dypski Park, so the fact that we still do it all the time is a testament to just how GREAT this playground is. Since it was remodeled last year, it has become one of the best options in southeast Baltimore.
There are several play areas. There is a more traditional play structure that is geared to slightly younger kids, with a pair of slides, and multiple ways to climb up. The real centerpiece of the playground, though, is a climbing structure that is kind of hard to explain. Ropes tied to a central spire connect out to several different outer nodes, each one with different play options (slides, a scavenger hunt). There are an endless number of ways to play on it. Finally, there’s a geometric climbing structure on top of the Astro-turf hill, which doubles as a fun slide on its own.
