Very, very poor customer service and store exchange policy. I had bought a very nice sweater for Christmas for my elderly mother, along with some other items. She found out that the sweater does not fit her but since it is now hard for her to get around, she waited for the winter weather (and snowpack) to break before going to the store to exchange for a different size, if available. She was told it had been 65 days and their return policy only extends to 60 days. Now mind you, she wasn’t asking for a refund, just an opportunity to exchange for something that fit. And bear in mind that this was a holiday gift. She had shopped at the store for many years and will no longer ever shop there again..nor will I. Read moreMy friend and I just ate in the Arboretum, and we followed it up with a walk around the stores, for work cloths. I'm a lifetime LOFT girl, but have been "forcing" it for years with them. We didn't love LOFT clothes as we perused, all seemed like "who would wear this??" We next visited Talbots, and we liked it a little better. We went into Chico's last, and found we liked it a lot. Their clothes felt soft and high quality, the prices were better, the styles were dressier for work and appropriate and attractive. The associates were spunky and smiley and helping other women, and seemed most approachable and "normal" rather than tense like the other stores. Read moreI shopped at Chico’s in South Barrington, IL on Saturday, 11/24. I only shop at this location occasionally as it’s not close to my home. I work in customer service and I was disappointed with my experience. I wasn’t greeted when I walked (about 5 min later asked if I’m finding everything ok). I carried clothes around for about 7 minutes before asked if they could put them in a dressing room. It was about 6:30 and only a couple of other shoppers in the store.
