This is one of my favorite places to shop in Bath. Long ago, "Shaw's Office Supplies" occupied this space. It seems to be a perfect space for a kitchen shop. They have a very extensive selection of kitchen utensils. I've bought kitchen towels. I like the more traditional ones with stripes, rather than the patterns or designs. I've spent a small fortune on the Polish pottery from Ceramika Artystyczna. That was a couple years ago, and it got to the point that I stayed away from the store for many months because I loved the hand-painted Polish pottery just a little too much. The last time I was in this lovely shop I managed to limit myself to one adorable, moderately priced small bowl. I also like some of the glass food storage containers with plastic lids. I use them for other things such as to hold quarters when I go to the laundromat. I also use them to store pennies, nickels and dimes. I always stop to admire their selection of tea kettles, toasters and cookware. I also bought an RSVP Endurance sink strainer. The description on the packaging says, "This efficient sink strainer lets water pass through but not debris. The precision pierced design makes emptying a breeze. The large, 4" dia. overall size fits comfortably into sinks with 2-1/2" to 3-1/4" dia. drains. Made from dishwasher safe stainless steel. It's only $9.99. They literally...
Read moreThis shop is not credible. Our family bought a pan set here for us that was well over $500 made by J.A. Henckels. It’s supposed to be non-stick. Unfortunately everything sticks like Velcro to this non-stick pan set. We’ve literally ruined hundreds of dollars of food trying to cook on these pans. The manufacturer tells us to contact the store we bought them from. When we called the shop to ask for assistance on the issue they told us that we were using the pans incorrectly and that we shouldn’t be using oil. Although we contested their opinion on this, they held to their stance that we were using them incorrectly. We have owned many sets over the years and even a Walmart pan would out perform these. Walmart would also take returns for defective products that they sell. This company does not back up...
Read moreI really love coming to this store. It has everything I am always looking for as far as cooking utensils, pots and pans, cutlery, and so much more. I feel just like a little kid in a candy store! I have yet to come in here and walked out without everything I hoped to get and more. I was able to pick up a 9" frying pan which I could not find anywhere in the Augusta/Gardiner area. The staff is so pleasant and helpful. Each person my husband and I dealt with were fully informed about the items were asking for. We asked about quality steak knives and were completely informed before making our choice. This is why we travel to Now You're Cooking in Bath when making purchases of quality utensils and...
