ABC Warehouse — Local services in Battle Creek

They sometimes on select occasions have competitive prices, but rarely. Even then the only reason to even consider coming to ABC Warehouse is if by chance the other same or similarly priced place is sold out. Otherwise do yourself a favor and save a ton of headache and go to the other place. What's so bad about ABC Warehouse? On the surface they just appear to be a business that's privately owned and has been for years, which is great.........except it's clearly gone to their heads as everytime I've been there, even back in the 90's, the treatment was the same wherein I didn't act like it was a prestigious honor to be allowed to shop there and so they threw in one little annoying thing to adhere to after another just because I haven't been kissing up to them all of these years. See? It's not about them making simple sales and sending you on your way, it's about them deciding if they like you personally and going from that. If they personally like you your fine, if they don't then there's umpteen people who've already been banned from there just at the BC location alone and those in the middle ground sorta speak just get hassled everytime they go there. Naturally any sales person there will either deny all of this and/or make it sound like it's solely the fault of that customer, but no. They quickly develop a personal opinion of people and go from that. This isn't a business to be at unless you have a universally brilliant personality that can assuringly win these guys over, cause that's the only way things will go even remotely acceptable for someone shopping this places dwindling selection. Only upside is that in addition to occasionally competitive prices is equal quality as places such as Walmart & Best Buy for the same & similar stuff they have. Their merchandise ain't bad at all, just good luck getting along with them and getting them to get along with you as well. See, that's the problem, it shouldn't have to be about if they like you personally or not, but regardless of what they say that really will determine if you have a good experience...

Today I stopped in to find the best deal possible for a new stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer. Thanks to the awesome manager Chris I was able to purchase all 4 items including tax and delivery for under 1800.00 and no I did not purchase the least expensive items! I am more than pleased and happy about my experience. I am in a state of euphoria!!! Thanks again Chris!

UPDATE: I purchased a black Frigidaire refrigerator and a black Frigidaire stove to match along with a white washer and dryer set. The dryer has a huge scratch on the door that is hard to ignore and I was told they would swap the door with one that isn't damaged and no one has contacted me yet. The stove was the wrong stove in white and not only was it the wrong stove but one side of the stove is caved in. I was supposed to have the washer and the refrigerator installed but they would only install the washer so I have to put a bunch of pieces on the refrigerator and that wasn't part of the deal. The older manager chris went out of his way to bring me a black Amana brand stove that they had there in store. After delivery I noticed that it is missing one leg and 1 oven rack so I called the store today as it was delivered and noticed yesterday after store hours. I was placed on hold for 5min and told that the manager would call me after taking another phone call. Well I waited 4 hrs and now the store is closed. I am not a happy customer at all. I do not have the stove I purchased and now have one with half it's function! I have to change my rating from 5 to 2. Not sure if I would recommend them to anyone I care about. I purchased a new washing machine at ABC Warehouse as I have purchase many appliances there over the years. Always had good service and respect from their associates. I had my washing machine delivered and installed this last Tuesday, however I couldn't get any Cold water to come through my machine. So I called the store immediately and they said they will get back to me and call the delivery guys to come out and fix it. The next day I still had that not heard from anybody and the third day I still had not heard from anybody. Then I got a hold of Chris Lewis, the manager of the store, Thursday night, and he was sensational! He was very apologetic, very energetic to resolve my issue, and did so in a very friendly and professional manner. And this morning, the delivery guys came out and my cold and hot water lines were installed opposite so they corrected it and then they leveled it and they even fixed my French door that opened in front of it as an added bonus just because it was rubbing on the floor. I couldn't ask for better service from everybody but I especially want to give a shout out to Chris Lewis for making this happen and following through.
