Rio Açaí — Local services in Baxter

I’m so happy that we have a Brazilian treat from my country of Brazil. 🇧🇷🇧🇷 And better yet, is close to home. I don’t have to go too far to find a Brazilian food. I’m from São Paulo and I live in Minnesota for almost 20 years. Meeting Gustavo and Holly was so nice. They are very friendly and warm, just like we are in Brazil. The açaí cups are so delicious. But they have other options as well. My favorite cup is São Paulo. Plus, they sell some Brazilian chocolates and the Brazilian famous pop. I love it going there and getting an açaí cup and sit down to talk to them. It’s a good feeling to have someone from your country to talk to. I miss that connection. Most of my Brazilian friends are from Florida. We talk on the phone but is not the same as in person. I wish Gustavo and Holly success in the business. You need to try Açaí, is very healthy...

My açaí cup with strawberries, bananas, peanut butter, granola and açaí was DELICIOUS. Great portion for $10. I was on my way home from Trout Lake camp pick up and traveling through Baxter when my daughter said she wanted Subway so I kind of stumbled upon Rio. Unfortunately I think the name and window wrap are creating confusion as to what this store actually is! On an afternoon like today (it was about 11:45 am) your shop should be bumping! Your product is amazing!!! Take that wrap down or put some pictures of your products on your windows. As I walked out a woman leaving Starbucks stopped and said, that looks amazing, where did you get it? So much opportunity with Starbucks right next door for foot traffic! Very unfortunate- I've got twice on two different days- first time was greeted by a silent, unhappy guy who made an admittedly delicious acai bowl. Unpleasant experience but the bowl was good so I went back a few days later and was greeted by the same miserable looking guy- didn't even look up, didn't greet us or even respond to our greetings or attempts to order?? If I hadn't seen him prior I would think he was a random person making his own food but that was the most uncomfortable situation I've ever been in and I just walked out. Had a MUCH better experience a few blocks away and I will never be back. If you're miserable and hate your job why are you even there lol...
