The staff here was nice, but when the bed arrived without instructions on how to set up, we called him and he wasn't able to provide us with information.
Before we purchased the mattress, I asked if they offer some kind of topper for comfort while breaking in, he called his boss and his boss told him to get a mattress pad and showed it to us, saying this is what we'd receive if we had issues with breaking it in. (Spoilers: I did have comfort issues on my shoulders, so they sent me a topper. It showed up weirdly discolored and when I took it out of the packaging, I immediately had a severe allergic reaction and an asthma attack, we had to bring it outside to the garbage. The did not offer any kind of replacement)
I wish that would have been the only red flag, but the mattress arrived, as stated without any kind of instructions and it had the caps on the mattress already, which I thought was strange, since I researched online and it said it should come with the caps off. Made me think "is this bed a return?" Possible, since it came, and never worked properly. It immediately lost air, the responsive air has never worked since we received it mid July. They have replaced the pump once and the responsive air still doesn't work, I have to reset the mattress and run a quick system check every night before getting into bed.
It also tracks me sleeping any time I sit in the bed, so the "sleep iq" that is built into the bed is completely useless and is tracking randomly. I was also told today that under no circumstances should we be sitting on the edge of the bed, because it wears out the foam (????)
The cake is.. Since we didn't get instructions, we accidently set the foot of the bed at the head, when they replaced the pump, they caught this and switched it; after doing so, the mattress feels completely worn out, no cushion whatsoever, it is killing my ribcage. Why does the foot of the bed offer more support then where you're supposed to be laying?
Starting to think they gave us a used bed for sure and they refuse to do anything but replace some foam, a month from now. Even though the mattress doesn't work and I sat on the phone with them today for about 2 hours, troubleshooting the responsive air not working and by the end of the call, it would still not kick on.
How many more lawsuits will they have out on them I wonder? This bed feels nothing like the one I tried in store, the responsive air worked in SECONDS in the store when switching from back to side and I am told today it only kicks on sometimes and it only checks to switch once an hour. This feels so...
Read moreTravis and Amanda are Exceptional people. I went into the store due to having to replace one regular spendy bed 3 times in two yrs for warranty issues. No a sleep number. I was tired of having one be so comfortable than the replacement was horrid. Woke daily in pain all thru my back, hips, legs. I had a friends mention sleep number, never thought of it. So, I went to check them out. 3 hrs later, two amazing non pushy sales people and a bed later( to be delivered). Patiently waiting!! Travis went through the beds, had me lay on them, lay on the test bed and over all, left it up to me. No pushing, no gimmicks, just me liking or not liking a bed. Amanda would share her experiences and thoughts through out my time, Shes got a great personality!! I love old the recommendations, the truth and honesty on how the beds work, the warranty and the material. 100% my decision! I could not have asked for a better sales time...
Read moreThe employees in the store are great. But it's incredibly disappointing that they don't inform you that the bases are manufactured by a different company. Said company is IMPOSSIBLE to get through to. We have had issue after issue with our flex base since 3 weeks after delivery. It frequently gets stuck half up and half down, tho it's not a split mattress. In theory, when it works which seems to be less than when it doesn't. Legget & Platt has by far, thee worst, customer service I've ever had in my life. And it is becoming a reflection on sleep# as they advocate those bases for their mattresses. It's been a year and I still fight with the same issues weekly and still cannot get it repaired. Frustrating. Also, sales are final upon delivery. But they don't tell you that either. So if everything sucks and doesn't work...
