Went to menards and purchased a 380 Graco handheld sprayer. Got home and it would not prim. Called menards and they said we can't take it back because it had paint in it but call the manufacturer. I thought great, anytime I've called the manufacturer it's always a complete nightmare. Jump through hoops from some guy who don't speak no English lol, then package it up, send it back and wait a month to just get the main tool. Not this time. I guess there really is a first time for everything lol. I talked to a guy who in deed spoke English. I think he was an American made Texan lol. First thing he said, " I am so sorry man, well get this handled", we tried some stuff and no go. He said shoot man, I can try to call the store but menards is difficult. I can send you a new one, but it ain't gonna help you today and might take a few days. I was like well I can wait a few days no problem. That was at 3:45 on Wed, it showed up at 1:35 Friday. WOW! Not only was it early, but it was the entire package just Luke buying it from the store. EXCEPTIONAL. I bought the sprayer for it's quality, I will be a forever customer for the Unmatched Customer Service. We live in a world where we tolerate poor customer service and things like, oh well, or I can't do that, long waits, poor turn around, and there's nothing I can do about it has become the normal and sadly completely accepted. Every company should treat their client/customers the way Graco treats them. Graco is the Bar, everyone else needs to raise theirs. Including us as consumers. Hold company accountable and stop accepting oh well, as, Okay! Thank you Graco....
Read moreI have spent tens of thousands in this store and until recent couple years loved it. Little or no stock of my usual needed items. To return or replace product takes an act of God. I estimated a roofing job. Was told I was wrong on amount of supplies needed. So they doubled my order and delivered. Turns out I was right. Took months and dozens of calls to get them to pick up the extra supplies. Even wanted me to pay for it. I did not! Then several more months of arguing over refund. Did I have my receipt? What card did I use? I used two. What did I return? For heavens sake, you picked it up! Then only wanted to refund "on sale price". I said, when have you ever had a sale on shingles and roofing supplies in the spring, never! Took nearly a year to get my money back. Additionally, they used to hire very knowledgeable people in each department. I'm afraid to report those days seem to be a thing of the past. And their 11% rebate, supposedly able to do online. Think again. I had major shoulder surgery and could not pick up a pencil let alone fill out forms. Tried to explain this to them. They could care less. I waited to long so out of luck on the rebates worth several hundreds of dollars. I shop home depot now. My 5% veterans discount applied right at the counter and none of the other problems. Read moreOrdered flooring through the baxter menards. Was set to get a 11% rebate, equaling close to $500. The main reason I bought flooring here was it was a better price after rebate. The rebate company lost the rebates I sent in, then with no reason, lowered the amount by $230 with no explanation or documentation stating why. Takes over a week just to get each reply in email and no phone contact is available.
Terrible online ordering and delivery process. Tried to order a snowblower last winter, their site said the one I ordered was in stock and I could pick it up in the store. After 3 calls, they said it wasn't in the store, was in the store, then back to wasn't in the store. I had to cancel my order after they said that it would take 3-4 weeks to get another one delivered.
Tried to give them another chance today ordering a lawn tractor trailer. Same issue. Online it said there was one in stock, but it was a floor model. I was okay with that thought. They called a few minutes later and said they couldnt sell the floor model and then expected me to cancel the order online instead of doing it over the phone.
Trash customer service. Cemented the fact that I will continue to go to home depot for everything. Too bad considering I enjoyed menards before and will be spending a lot of money to finish my...
