Stopped in to buy a new queen boxspring and mattress for our guest bedroom. We were shown a Sealy Posturepedic Slumbercrest Grey Lynn Cushion Firm mattress. We tried the in store floor model and both agreed that it was comfortable. We were promptly encouraged to buy a mattress protector for around an additional $130 which we declined, knowing from experience that we could buy one of those almost anywhere else for $20-30. They also tried to sell us special pillows to increase their sale total which we also declined. When the mattress was delivered the following week, we both agreed that it was stiff as a board, nothing like the floor model we had tested in the store. When we called our sales person, Rick Litke, to complain, he basically said that we were SOL, "should have bought the mattress protector" if we wanted any chance to swap out the mattress for one that would actually be comfortable. He referred me to the store manager who told me the same thing. It is obvious that the most important thing to Slumberland is how much they can shove into their cash registers. They have absolutely no interest in the satisfaction of their customers. I will never shop there again and urge anyone else to do so at...
Read moreWorst couch shopping experience ever. We went in to slumber land since they had an advertisement in the local paper for a couch love seat set. The sales Lady who came to help us had never heard of the couch set that we were looking for and asked her colleagues if they had, None of them heard of the Kent collection that was in the paper ad, We explained to her what we were looking for, non leather and it had to recline she tried to up sell us on much much more expensive sets that we didnt want and she insisted that we look at all these other sets of furniture that either was leather or didnt recline until we had to finally leave while shes trying to drag us around the store showing us leather couches that did not recline that we told her from the beginning we did not want ! O and also she before we left had to show us one thats "Just like The One in the ad and has the same comfort and sit style as the advertised one " Although she supposedly never heard of the Advertised Couch set .. so how would she know how its sits and looks and feels ..also it was double the price ! #Terrible sales Lady #Dont Advertise Couches...
Read moreUnfortunately we haven't had the success others have. I guess recliners aren't made the way they used to be. Upon receiving a recliner it was broken so we were told they would just remake the wood piece that was broken. Not long after wood shavings from the chair was on the floor. Before we knew it, it completely broke while my husband was sitting in it. Then we get a new identical chair and it's so loud we can't rock in it. We even brought a video in to prove it. We feel our concerns have been dismissed. We're told every lazy boy makes some kind of noise. We also purchased a clearance rocking chair and that one is also broken. Broken to the point it's not usable. It has been one thing after another. We're so frustrated. We've had proof every time but yet we still feel dismissed. I won't post names because that's not what this is a about. The quality of the furniture is certainly a issue and there needs to be more compassion. 3 chairs broken in less than a year is a bit much. Anyone would...
