On a recent visit to America’s Best, I had the pleasure of experiencing exemplary customer service and professionalism from the entire staff, particularly as I accompanied my 10-year-old grandson, Ezekiel, for his eye exam. The staff demonstrated exceptional care, patience, and respect—not only toward us as customers but also toward the learning and self-advocacy process I intentionally facilitated for my grandson.
Front Desk Experience – Isabel Upon arrival, we were greeted by Isabel, who immediately set the tone for our visit with a warm and welcoming demeanor. As part of my intention to empower my grandson in managing his own healthcare experiences, I requested that Isabel direct all intake questions to him. She did so respectfully and patiently, allowing Ezekiel the opportunity to respond independently. Although he was unable to provide an email address and humbly stated, “My parents haven’t given me one,” Isabel reassured him in a kind and affirming manner. Her words made him feel capable and confident. This small but powerful gesture helped foster his self-esteem and reinforced his ability to advocate for himself.
Pre-Screening Phase – Yinesi During the pre-screening portion of the visit, we were assisted by Yinesi, who I also asked to communicate directly with Ezekiel. She honored this request with patience and compassion, speaking in a soft but clear tone and explaining each step of the process. She paused frequently to ensure he was understanding what was being done. Her professionalism and thoughtful approach made Ezekiel feel at ease and allowed him to remain engaged and informed throughout the process.
Doctor's Exam – Dr. Munawar Finally, we met with Dr. Munawar, who exemplified excellence in pediatric and family-centered care. At my request, she took the time to walk Ezekiel through each step of the eye examination, describing what she was doing and the purpose of each part of the process. Her ability to provide a thorough, detailed explanation in a developmentally appropriate way helped Ezekiel understand the importance of the exam and what the results meant for his vision. Her respect for our educational approach and her willingness to include Ezekiel in the conversation demonstrated outstanding professionalism and genuine care.
Conclusion The entire staff at America’s Best exceeded expectations. Each team member contributed meaningfully to creating a positive and empowering experience for my grandson. Their willingness to engage directly with him, explain procedures, and support his learning reinforced our shared goal of developing his self-advocacy skills at an early age. I am sincerely grateful for their time, their compassion, and their commitment to respectful, patient-centered care.

Read moreI went here last year, just for an exam, and had a very welcoming experience. This year I decided to purchase glasses, with my progressive prescription. The associate doing the preliminary exam remembered me from last year, and the tests were spelled out to me, including any additional cost. There was a technical issue with one of the machines so the additional cost was less than originally quoted. As usual, the doctor's exam was thorough and she explained any change in my eyesight.
I picked out a couple of frames, and the associate, Alix went over the various options and level of pricing available. He was able to check on the pricing based on one pair vs 2 pair, with and without the discount. Both costs were way more than I anticipated. I decided to choose a lower tier of frame/vision/coating and the price was more in line with my budget.
I want to commend Alix for being super chill, but thorough and providing all the info I needed to make a good choice. he was very patient. I felt well taken care of, and I would highly recommend America's best.I picked out a couple of frames, and the associate, Alix went over the various options and level of pricing available. Read moreI had the BEST crew and the best experience at the new America's Best store. The entire team was so incredibly sweet, efficient, thoughtful, helpful, and funny. Before I had my visit, speaking with Alix was amazing. What a wonder young man. He scheduled me and set me up with everything I would need for my visit. He was a real sweetheart. My appt was last Saturday, and i was on time for my appt. I needed a new exam and Kyle and Dr. Munawar were super professional and answered every question I raised. I maybe waited 6 minutes TOPS, and they took me in. They were thorough, both intelligent, and so kind(which isn't evident at other eye places in town) and even showed the imaging of my eye health--which was fascinating. It's definitely worth the extra $30 to have it done. Best part.....new technology means you no longer need the yellow eye drops to dilute your pupils. It's great! Despite being 55, my vision only requires reading glasses for close up work. So that's the blessing in all of this. The entire staff was stellar--especially Brianna, who was patient with me picking out frames. She is very knowledgeable and provided me with multiple options for frames/prices, and did it all with a sweet disposition and thoughtfulness. I struggled making final frame decisions, so I literally asked every team member(and we joked and laughed, but in the end, I ended up getting the frames they collectively agreed, looked BEST on me. So now, I've pretty much adopted them all. Thank you: Jessica, Marianne, and Kailen), 🤗 I can't wait to pick up my frames in the upcoming week. For the BEST experience, BEST prices AND, BEST crew, try...
