Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) Review:
What an awesome stop during our Petoskey trip! Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf absolutely delivered the kind of family fun and vacation vibes we were hoping for. It’s a clean, well-maintained mini-golf course with great theming, friendly staff, and just the right balance of challenge and fun for all ages. I can easily say this was one of the highlights of our trip—and we’ll definitely be back again!
The pirate theme is carried out in such a fun and immersive way. From waterfalls and caves to bridges, ships, and pirate statues, every hole had some cool visual or playful element. It really feels like you’re on an adventure. There’s a ton of attention to detail in the landscaping and layout—it’s clear the team takes pride in keeping it looking great. The entire course was spotless, and the grounds were in excellent shape.
The holes themselves were a good mix of easy and moderately tricky, making it fun for both kids and adults. We had a group with younger kids and teens, and everyone stayed engaged the whole time. There are a few holes with unique twists that made us laugh and keep score with a little friendly competition. The course flows really well too—you’re never stuck in one spot too long or bunched up with other groups.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The young lady at the counter greeted us with a smile, got us our clubs and balls quickly, and gave us the lay of the land. It was clear that customer service was a priority here.
Pricing was reasonable, especially for the quality of the experience. You can tell this isn’t just a seasonal pop-up; it’s a well-run, professionally managed course that’s perfect for locals and tourists alike. There’s also a small gift shop and arcade area that the kids loved after we finished our round.
We also appreciated how well-kept everything was, especially for an outdoor attraction. Even though it had rained a bit earlier in the day, the course was dry and ready to play. It’s the kind of place where you feel like your money is well spent, and your time there is valued.
If you’re in the Petoskey area and looking for a fun and affordable outing for couples, families, or even just a casual hangout with friends, Pirate’s Cove is a must-visit. It’s nostalgic, fun, and just a feel-good place to spend an hour or two. Whether you’re a mini-golf pro or just playing for laughs, this course is a guaranteed good time.
We’ll definitely be back...
Read moreWent there before ut started raining my family is disabled my daughters scoliosis and daught austium no where in a sign said anything about 1 coin a person the lady screamed at my wife who has brain tumors It was slippery and my wife almost fell from the sprinkling rain. Near the time we were finished it was real rain. Her name was lisa whom screamed at my wife and through her into a seizure my daughter who has scoliosis gave her the ice cream thing back because she knew how her little sister is. She told them it would not be fair. Now they did not state this nor did they tell us this before hand or about the weather. We do not care for the icecream but how my disabled family were treated. I will NEVER go back there. I cannot wait to talk to the manager.
I kept telling this woman to stop screaming at my wife but it was to late...

As a mini-golf lover, I would definitely recommend a visit. There is a good variety of unique challenges and manageable routes: a good balance of luck and skill. If you manage to get a hole-in-one on the 'holes of the day', you can also get a 'free game' token.
The pace of mini-golf depends largely upon who is in front of you (and them) so smaller/faster parties will have to wait a bit at each hole. This is to be expected at such a popular course. Staff had no problem with me partially re-playing some holes to match the speed of play.
It's mini-golf: relax, have fun, enjoy the landscaping/theme, and learn some...
