I ordered a very simple 1 tier cake with fresh flowers for my private wedding ceremony. I showed the owner picture of cake and also gave her the creative freedom to make me a wedding cake. I paid full 140$ right then and the owner took pictures of my outfit and agreed to match color of cake to the outfit. I had to call them to remind them to pick the flavor. A day before wedding, I call the store to confirm pick up and we get text saying to send outfit pictures again. This clearly meant they did not have any pictures nor had idea about what color palatte to choose. The wedding day, my friend went and picked up a cake that looked miles far from what I had ordered in a ghastly green color. I called and the owner simply said " we will reimburse you after we get our cake back ". She first asked me to drop off cake back for a full reimbursement. I told her that its my wedding day and I cannot run after this. Imagine the horrible situation. So she offered to come pick up cake herself. I gladly send the cake back with her because it was not beautiful and had wilted flowers. I was sad and completely broken but chose not to let this unfortunate situation spoil my big day. This cake looked ugly and this was definitely not something I could serve my guests. I got my refund promptly without hazzles and the store staff was easy to talk to. For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend them and like the name suggests, like a lab, they " experiment " ...sometimes it works and some days fail. I fell for the google reviews and instagram pictures but they did not live up to the hype. Usually, business tries to help bride by adding fresh flower to save the day. In my case, nothing. So they lost out on customer...
Read moreMe and my friend stopped by 4/2 around 12:30 we were so excited to try this place. It seemed like a hidden gem. All of the pastries looked immaculate! And the service was amazing. But to my disappointment the treats look better than they taste. I ordered the lemon raspberry cupcake which was the only thing I was able to eat the taste was amazing but the cake itself was so dry. I’m not sure how old it was but definitely didn’t taste fresh😩 I did like the icing on this one. then I ordered the S’mores cheesecake it had a cookie as the base and they gave me a little black fork to eat it with but the cookie was so hard my fork kept breaking off into it. And the last thing I ordered was this Ferrero Rocher stuffed suger cookie. Again idk how old these pastries were, but the only thing edible on that cookie was the Ferrero Rocher chocolate The chocolate wafer and chocolate balls were so soggy and old and the buttercream locked in flavor. It tasted like I bit into butter. You can tell they use high quality butter for the buttercream, but it taste like butter with a tiny hint of sugar. The sugar cookie it’s self was as if it had soaked up moisture and it tasted like wet cardboard. I really wanted to like this place but I ended up trashing the cheese cake and sugar cookie the cookie alone was $10 😫 spent somewhere around $20 for the cupcake to be the only thing that was edible. Idk if I caught them on a bad day or the treats were just old. Super...
Read moreI've asked Cat, owner of Sachi's, to make several cakes for me, including a surprise birthday cake for myself lol and my son's birthday cake. For the surprise cake she worked with my husband on the ideas he had, and she made them into a masterpiece. I almost teared up when it was time to cut it ha ha. When the cake was in it's clear plastic "box" it could have easily been a legit work of art. For another one of my birthdays she created the "number cake" ... the light sugar cookie dough sandwich filled with a light homemade cream and topped with fresh flowers and macarons. It was stunning and we fed an army with that one. Annnnnd for my surprise party she made a The Office themed cake, complete with edible fondant Dunder Mifflin name tag! For my son's birthday cake, she asked some of his favorite things, teams, etc. I was blown. away. with what she came up with. It was a multi-tiered cake with real (edible) pics of him playing football and full of candy & lollipops. It was absolutely the hilite of his party. Cat is amazingly sweet, humble and hardworking. I've ordered custom cakes from places that handed off parts of the job to others, acted like they were too busy, wanted me to pick something generic they already had in stock, etc, but Cat has gone above and beyond every time as far as...
