We hardly ever go to hobby lobby, but I found a plastic rain guard for our bird feeder and living in the Pacific Northwest this time of year it's hard to maintain a bird feeder without it constantly getting wet. Once we arrived we found we were surrounded by stuff we don't need. A lot of decorative items that appear to me only to satisfy the need to spend money (obviously I'm in the minority here). Glitter everywhere, including the floor.... The EPA should fine them for micro plastic pollution. We found what we needed and took a walk through the store to see the enormous display of stuff. A majority looked like house branded Chinese items.... Which made me wonder what's going to happen to stores like this (Michaels you too) if trade embargos go into place.... Can a majority of customers afford $49.99 baby Jesus statues covered in sacred glitter? Anyway, we had enough and wandered to the one open cash register that had someone returning $48.00 worth of glitter covered trinkets. Finally after 10 minutes of me staring at a display of Reese's peanut butter cups I didn't need. A second register was opened and we checked out. We walked out pushing our cart to the car and then I realized why there were so many shopping carts left scatter thru the parking lot. No place to return them to, other than back to the store. Maybe there was but the parking lot was not well lit so I put ours back, shared our package of peanut butter cups and drove home. Honestly not my...
Read moreI canât stand Hobby lobby because of itâs politics and itâs religious affiliations that they push on their workers flat out that is wrong and I completely disapprove.
I had to stop here the other day to get some tulle. My cutting counter experience was awful. I had one thing of fabric, which was the tulle. I only needed 2 yards and there was a woman in front of me and she had 8 bolts of fabric and wanted a quarter yard of each and she was going to come back after she finished her shopping to get them because it was obviously going to take a while. I told the guy Iâm only getting 2 yards and he said Iâll get you next and I stood there for like 15 minutes while he cut the 8 - 1/4 yards of fabricâŚ.. some insight on customer service if that customer is coming back in like 15-20 minutes and Iâm the only other person waiting you should probably get the person thatâs got the really easy order so they donât have to stand there for a while and then you can snap them right back into your 8 yards. Itâs called...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were very excited for this new location! We had been waiting for weeks and finally came on the publicly scheduled day of the âGrand Opening,â only to find that despite having multiple âGrand Openingâ signs and having âOpen Jul 14â displayed on their Google results, both of the doors were locked! Despite this, we could see quite a few people milling about inside, though I couldnât tell if they were employees, or not. No one came to explain the situation, until another pair of families arrived, at which point an employee came to inform us that the âGrand Openingâ wouldnât be until Tuesday. I imagine theyâll be dealing with this all weekend, and with good reason! Please donât advertise that youâre going to be open if youâre not to going to be open. I do hope that when this location finally open its doors to the general public, I will be able to improve this review, but for now? We are left yarn-less, and...
