American Seaway Foods Inc — Local services in Bedford Heights

DO NOT go to Richmond Rd Entrance, NO TRUCKS. Turn at the Olympia Steel Shipping and Receiving/ Giant Eagle Signs for Hist Rd.(see pics) Turn left and follow sign for Seaway. (see pic) Then right following signs for all trucks. Park along fence and walk to guard house.(see pic) Restroom for those sent to the right after gate to dock is next to dock door 20 and past the receiving office. I did not use it. So no further comment. Overnight parking when delivering is allowed. Arrived at 0631, at guard house window by 0642( due to wait in line, outdoor) for 0700 appointment. Called with door # at 0704. Docked by 0715, (Break Seal, Doors open), Receiving window by 0718, Lumper desk by 0719. Felt the first jolt of unloading at 0852. Text for lumper fee at 1036, and text for paperwork at 1055. Headed out by 1120. No need to wait in line, walk up to guard window and hand in gate pass. (see pic) Must leave property after unloading. (see pic) Some grass for animals in parking area. Nothing inside gate. Staff was friendly. Honestly, this took less time than expected, and less time than most other grocery warehouses then...

Long story short: I was held up at the same “Great Eagle” warehouse in Pittsburgh. That’s why I showed up here almost at closing time for reefer delivery (11 am). Because of terrible navigation signs, I had to turn around on Richmond Road and wasted a couple of minutes. As a result, I arrived at the guard shack at 11:03 a.m.

The security guy jumped out of his office like a jack-in-the-box and was so pleased to tell me that I was late and had to wait until the next day. He truly enjoyed it.

A bunch of rude, inflexible, and unprofessional people. I drove half the night, got held up for 5 hours at the same warehouse in Pittsburgh, and was late by only 3 minutes—yet I was rejected.

On top of that, there is no overnight parking in the staging area—they will call a tow truck.

The service is awful. I do not recommend visiting this place. Because of this bad experience, I will never attend these stores...

It feels like there should be a more efficient way of doing things. They made a big deal about being on time and answering your phone. I give them 2 stars because true to their word they called me in exactly when they said they would. Everything after that was tardy.

You have to park to check in with security, then later check in with receiving, and then again with Capstone. The wait in receiving and for Capstone went beyond my appointment time. You wait for Capstone and pay them for that privilege, then have to repeat the entire check out process in reverse, each time waiting in line. Its just not a great experience overall.
