First I will say, nice and friendly people that work there. But I ordered 2 tons of sand for kids play water set. They said they couldn't deliver until Saturday morning, ok no problem. Was told there were only 2 deliveries that day and would probably get by 10 if not then by 12. Ok. 1030 I call just to get update, took long time to find my ticket ( sounds like it was misplaced or overlooked) but was told they couldn't tell me when it was coming. Ok. Call back at 1215 still no delivery, was told manager will call me back. Ok. After waiting over an hour for return call or my delivery, I call manager, now its 145, was told manager sent the driver on an emergency delivery! And all deliveries are behind! Seriously!! You guys couldn't have told me that when I called the other times or have manager call and tell me! Now it's almost 2 and still waiting! And I have to spread the sand in the hottest part of the day so we can finally set this up for the kids! Thanks for that! Read moreI bought a tree stand on sale over the phone, gave my credit card number, received an approval number for the purchase and was assured that the stand would be waiting for me when I came to pick it up within a couple of days. A while later that day, I got a call from this Southern States store and they told me that they were selling it to someone else. I verified it was on the inventory still, that they still had the stand in their possession, but the story was that the manager had offered the stand to someone else a week earlier.....but the individual hadn't purchased it nor paid for it. We’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars throughout the years at this establishment, from fencing materials to top soil and lumber. Unfortunately, we recently ordered fence materials for delivery and the items didn’t show up. We had a crew standing around with nothing to do. Upon calling on the issue, management didn’t seem to care and argued over pre-payment. Whatever the reason, It’s unfortunate that a wonderful business has come to poor customer service. Especially after the amount of funds we have pushed their way over the years. We’ll be ordering materials from elsewhere...
