I found a rotted fascia board and decided to replace itâŠwhy not, I can just run to Home Depot or Loweâs and grab a new one, right? Rain was coming so just knock it down, grab a new one and install it. To my surprise, neither HD nor Loweâs had the size I needed within a 50 mile radius. Luckily, a quick check online showed that McCoyâs in Bee Cave had what I needed.
I stopped by and couldnât find the board I needed anywhere in the store. A very nice man assisted me and explained the process. I made my purchase and even the friendliness of the cashier was great. She told me where to drive and park and how to pick up my order.
Where I docked a star was the lumber lot process. The day I arrived was the day that the narrow entrance to the lumber lot was partially blocked by a semi truck with a huge load of lumber. I drove around him and parked, handed my ticket to the guy in the lot and while he was getting my order I was asked to move my truck a few times. I complied, received my board but discovered that the exit was now blocked by the semi truck. It wasnât the end of the world but I had to wait until the driver moved the truck so I could exit. I think a better process for small trucks or a wider gate would be a huge help. I donât want to slow down their business, but being blocked and stuck in the lumber lot is not on the schedule when rain is in the forecast and I have a board to replace.
Overall, a very good experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable people. Just that entry/ exit thing with the big truck dinged...

Read moreThe guys are terrific the yard is just completely inadequate for any kind of traffic at all. They really need to fork over the money for a new location with better logistics. For one of the busiest stores they have they need to try to create something like San Marcos. I guess it brings people closer together because all you can do is laugh while you're in here because it's an accident waiting to happen. Love the staff though; I really don't know how they do it every...
