This is very long, but I feel the need to share my story so that this doesnāt happen to anyone else! I was new to the consignment world so I did my research, read all the mostly positive reviews and ultimately decided to bring my daughterās clothes and toys to this place. Just as the reviews said, Yolanda, the store owner seemed very pleasant and knowledgeable as she separated out my daughters clothes, listing which ones would be spring/summer, fall/winter, year round, etc. I left over 60 items, many that had barely been worn and some with tags still in place. She gave me a schedule of when to pick up per season, and I was instructed to call every fifteenth of the month to see if I had money in my account. The first month I arrived at the store to pick up my cash. I asked what items had sold so I could keep up with what sold . Thatās when she told me she didnāt have a list for me only her list. She let me look at her list right there in the store which was handwritten on a page that was assigned to me. It was hard to read and I remember feeling like I was inconveniencing her and quickly made note of what I could and then Just gave it back. She mentioned sheās been in the business for 30 years and always has done it this way. No computers. Everything done by hand which is ok, but I couldnāt help but think that could lead to errors. Still, she was the expert in the business which she kept reminding me so I trusted she knew what she was doing. So end of winter season comes around which was about 3 months later and I schedule a time to come in to pick up items. She hands me a bag with very few items, winter items. I asked to see her list again on this day and thatās when she tells me she doesnāt keep lists when sheās closing out! She tells me, she throws them away! Yāall I was flabbergasted! Well you just handed me money, how did you know how much to give me if you didnāt get it from your list? And because Iām nice and never want to hurt anyoneās feelings, I said Yolanda itās not that I donāt trust you, but what if thereās a question over something thatās sold or not? Itās at this point and ONLY at this point throughout this processs that she tells me that if I want to know what sold, all I have to do is request a list when I call on the fifteenth of the month and she will have it ready when I come in to pick up my money. I just have to ask!!! For the second time that day, my jaw hits the floor! As I look around the store, I see items that I have on consignment, a rocking horse and another yellow push toy that projects balls when you push down in the handles. I tell myself, Iāll be sure to request the list next time and then I left the store. The next month I call and Iām told, I have no money in the account. The month after which is now, April, I call again. She tells me I have no money in my account and that My account is closed! Iām like how can it be closed when I still have items there???? What about the rocking horse and all the items you said were spring summer and year round??? She tells me That rocking horse belongs to another account! I began to cry because I feel like Iām in a bad movie and that this really canāt be happening! āAre you sure?ā āYes, Iām sureā she responds. Yolanda, is it possible you put it under the wrong account??!! And what about my spring summer items? You only gave me back winter items. She tells me, my account is closed again and that she gave me all the unsold items back. She tells me she put everything out in the fall winter even the spring stuff. Hereās the thing, I did everything she asked me to do. I trusted her with my property and now I will never really know if my items sold or not. I should have listened to my instincts but didnāt. I would go to the police, but I have no real proof. My opinion here is that this woman is a thief! I know thatās strong but, I gave her every opportunity to help me and all I got was an āIām sorry you feel that way but Iām not going to change the way I do business.ā By the way that rocking horse is displayed ever so nicely in her...

I brought multiple seasons with me the first time I came in and asked if I should bring the spring back later. She said she would keep them and put them out at the appropriate time. I called to update my address with her when we moved (during that initial season) - she said she had a check sitting there for me that had been returned. She has my phone number but is too lazy to even call to say she got some mail returned. Fast forward to the end of the following spring season - have never heard from her again nor received a check for any of that season. You can't tell me not ONE item sold. She claims she doesn't have a record of the spring items and thinks she donated them. LIAR AND THIEF - do not trust her...

After leaving a review for an unrelated shop I received a message from Yolanda. My reviews are always accurate and honest of MY experience somewhere. I donāt appreciate being āspokenā to in a condescending manner because someone doesnāt understand what MY experience was.
It shows a lack of professionalism on Yolandaās behalf, if you are going to stand up for your peers than you should stand up for all of them and not insult the other shop owners in the same breathe.
I will not be visiting this store, but as Yolanda put it her rent is expensive so Iām sure her prices...
