Big flavor in a small package! The building is small, but do not let that dissuade you from stopping at Taqueria El Taco, there is ample reasons found on their menu to make your visit worthwhile. I rated the atmosphere right down the middle because it was clean and tidy, and venues with outdoor patio or deck seating would generate more stars. I really love this place and hadnt been here in a bout year. Today I made a trip from killeen and the wait was long. I ordered the number 6 espadas. I wanted half al pastor and the other 2 Extra crispy tripas with no onion. I left there at about 545 ans traffic was wild. By the time I made it home it was 630. And to my dismay I had a completely different order. I was given mini barbarcoa tacos with LOTS of onions and 2 quesadillas and beans. All of which I did not want at all in any way. Recently moved to the area and this is the closest thing to authentic Mexican food we have found. We go here often and have never had a bad experience. The food is always good and so is the service. We order the Birria tacos, pastor gordita, and another order of tacos I can’t remember the name but it comes with pastor and bistec, they have two versions of their green salsa and the thicker one is the best one!
