Our washing machine failed 2x in a 4 month period, so we decided to buy once, cry once, and just get a replacement. I was regretting the process as we've actually never bought a new kitchen or laundry appliance for any of the homes we've lived in (28 years) - they all came with the house and worked the entire time.
The associate at SND in Bemidji was amazing. She asked a few questions and instantly dialed into what was important to us. She had an authoritative understanding of the features and benefits of each machine in their product line-up, and she communicated the differences well. Her sales technique was not at all high pressure. She clued us in to some key benefits of the LG series (direct vs. belt-driven washers, getting an extra 1/yr warranty for registering via the LG app, etc). She sent us home with printouts and measurements so we could talk it over and make the best decision. The next day we stopped out to pay for our new washer. Installation was an extra $50, but well worth it not having to fuss around. Putting the washing machine on a credit card was another 2%, but that gave me an additional 1/year warranty on the machine through the credit card company, past the washing machine manufacturer's warranty.
A few days later (today) the SND crew showed up with our new washer. Prior to showing up, we got a text message that would show the current location of the crew and give the estimated time of arrival. The two gentleman had the machine installed in no time and ran the machine through it's first cycle to get any manufacturing impurities out of the basin. They were careful, they were neat, and they represented SND well.
After doing a couple of loads of laundry it's abundantly clear we should've made this purchase years ago. The new machine is SO much quieter and being able to monitor/control it through the app is going to make life so much more pleasant. Two very big thumbs up for SND for making this a stress-free, enjoyable...
Read moreI am so disheartened.. when we purchased our home 2018, we replaced ALL of the kitchen appliances from SND. It was a big chunk of change, so I went ahead and applied for a Synchrony Credit Card with SND, as I’ve always been impressed with SND. I limit myself to 1 credit card and figured that appliances would be my bigger ticket item, should any items need to be replaced. If at all possible, I prefer to keep my business locally. Not knowing until our microwave was acting weird and I called to inquire on a new one, that SND changed their provider for their credit cards and I was no longer able to use my credit card. I would have to apply for another credit card. I spent a substantial amount of time with Synchrony and was informed that I should still be able to use the card, as they run it through like a regular credit card. So I called SND again and explained what I was told. That didn’t work either. I called Synchrony again. Calls back and forth and never got anywhere. So I headed into SND, as Synchrony said SND was still valid in their system and maybe they had different numbers they were using. I spent about 10 minutes in the store, if even that. While she had her speaker phone on, we had to go through various prompts and still didn’t get a human, in the meantime I was telling her what prompts worked for me. Then she abruptly disconnected the call and said I would have to apply for another card with the company they changed too. And that was that. There were no other customers in the store, phones weren’t ringing. Had a few more minutes been spent, I felt we could’ve gotten the issue resolved. Now I have got a washing machine that’s gone crazy and a dryer that’s close behind it. And a credit card that can’t be used...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would! I have not had a working wash machine since July. SND has been out to our home 3 times with 3 different technicians! Each time one has worked on our machine it has progressively gotten worse then when they first touched it! The only time you will receive a call back for any messages or attempts to speak with a manager is when you leave them a negative google review.
The first issue was our wash machine was not switching to the "wash" function. We waited for 3 weeks for the technician to come out and look at it, although the parts were available he "did not have time" in his day to make the repairs. He ordered the parts and we again waited 2-3 weeks for them to come out with a new technician, who spent hours there working on it, for it still to not work. So again, ordered more parts and sent a new technician who ultimately made our wash machine a boulder and wrecked our electrical outlet! She somehow wired something incorrectly and arced our outlet and the entire thing is black now. Now the machine will not even turn on, we can't open the door, and SND will not do anything else to try to assist us! SND was not even aware that their technician did this as she did not put anything in her notes of ruining our outlet. Despite multiple attempts to make this right as each time SND's technicians have touched our wash machine it has gotten extremely worse!
The customer service and just overall experience and the arrogance with the owner, Wes is absurd! Save your time, spend the extra money to hire professionals! As long as they get their warranty repair money that seems to be all they care about! Glad GE paid you...
