The Source Zero No Co — Local services in Berthoud

I noticed 'The Source Zero' sign when meeting my work colleagues at the cafe next door. I was greeted by the store owner, Nikole, who provided a quick introduction to her available inventory and a brief store history. After brunch, I brought my work colleagues back into Nikoles store with more questions about sustainability and chemical free homes.

It's nice to visit a grass-roots business that presents a modern holistic approach to zero waste products and resources while also supporting local artisan products. There are only a handful of zero waste stores available along the Front Range, but in time, resources like Nikoles store, will help influence all of us to make more sustainable choices regarding safer household/cosmetic supplies and grocery items.

I purchased a few things I've been wanting to buy/try for years. Prices are affordable and I'd say most of the stores reusable items look durable and could even be considered as 'Buy it for life' items.

Happened upon The Source Zero when taking a stroll through town this spring! They promote tons of local art, sell sustainable products, and have many eco-friendly items at affordable prices! This gem offers so many trinkets and zero-waste opportunities that are easy to implement into your everyday life. It's great to have a zero-waste store in this little town. Sometimes it feels like no one else cares as much as I do about making changes for the planet, but stores like this give me hope. I was able to buy bar soap, bamboo toilet paper, a reusable q-tip, and toothpaste bits, and all of it supported Berthoud and a small business instead of Amazon. I look forward to seeing what else they will offer in the future, and I'm excited that they just started offering my favorite Blueland laundry detergent tabs (now I don't have to wait...
