Great pizza but terrible customer service. We’ve been coming here for 3 years, almost every Friday. We’ve never been terribly impressed with the service but the pizza is really good. We recently sent someone there on our recommendation and he said he won’t go back because he ordered and paid then was forgotten about. After an hour he checked and they had to hurry and make it and didn’t even apologize for the mistake.

Today we ordered and I somehow didn’t get cheese bread or ranch on the order (my bad completely). My husband knew what he thought I’d ordered and asked for a ranch. He manager came out and acted rude about it because it wasn’t on the ticket and was supposed to be $0.50. I get it, but they really can handle things with much more tact. This isn’t he first time we’ve encountered bad attitudes here and we’ve also paid for and not received sides of ranch and marinara numerous times. My sister, my mother, and I went for pizza here. This was my first time and last time patroning Berthoud Pizza Company. Being that it was my first time, I opened the door and went inside, not sure how ordering works. A female employee came out of no where yelling over our question ushering us out. She was extremely rude especially since the door was OPEN. NOW, I have worked customer service my entire career. I've worked customer facing since the first of the pandemic. We were confused, masked and looking for direction. She was rude, yelling and talking over us. When I experience a customer doing something that isn't to store standard such as not wearing a mask, I politely ask them if they have one, I hear them out, offer to help them outside. I never tell at them or talk over them.

They skimp on the toppings way too often. When I order extra of a particular topping I expect it to scale linearly. I order olive on my pizza and I get way too little and it is concentrated in the center. When I order an extra amount I get maybe 10% more (not worth it). The weird thing is the meat is the right amount, but they skimp on the cheap things and then barely adjust when ordering more. I don't appreciate being charged extra and they fail to live up on there end--it happens regularly and I'm irritated.

The pizza is typically well executed in terms of dough and sauce (not toppings or bake). I'm not sold on the Mac n cheese. The garlic knots are great. I hate their online ordering system.

I'm still mad that they ignore online orders on busy Saturday nights without telling you. It leaves you in an awkward spot with potentially hangry people to deal with. Not a great approach to...
