RISE Artisan Bread Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Berthoud

I keep going back to try this bakery because I love supporting local and also because their soup & baked goods are always good. The service is always good and they always try to make things right which I really appreciate. If you go during the rush hour it's a little noisy inside but that's ok. It's a small area. The tables aren't kept clean inbetween folks during the rush hour, they have crumbs for a while because it's so busy, but if you ask for some napkins you can get the crumbs off yourself. When it's slower inside it's usually very clean. But, every single visit, my sandwich is always wrong. I don't know why that is 🤷🏽‍♀️. In May I ordered a breakfast sandwich, the Burlington, and surprisingly, it was missing the egg. I told the staff and we had a good laugh about it. They made me an egg and I added it to my sandwich. It happens. In June I went back to try a lunch sandwich. I ordered the Redline, a BLT with avocado added. They forgot the avocado and it was on the wrong bread. They gladly refunded me the amount charged extra for the avocado. I kept the wrong bread, it happens. Today I went in to try a panini. I ordered the Pinewood. No Pesto mayo. I ordered it because of the Pesto. I love Pesto. No Pesto. Sadness. It's a cute spot. If only I could get a sandwich made right. I ordered it to go so by the time I got to work to have it for lunch it was too late for me to drive all the way back to get it fixed. Will I try a 4th sandwich? Tune in to find out 😆. I love their food especially their breakfast sandwiches but this last time I came in I asked for my favorite breakfast sandwich on one of their breakfast buns which looks just like a bagel. The chick who was helping me up front seemed to think that was not possible and told me that I could buy it separately and go home and make it how I wanted but they couldn't make it on the breakfast bun for me. Didn't wanna push it because it was busy but I've worked in a bakery before and know that it's possible to make a sandwich on any kind of bread the customer wants. She just said it was not possible for them to make it on the breakfast bun. Not a great food service experience.

Such a pleasant, well run place! Their breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal and I loved their iced chai tea latte. Can't wait to go back in the future, but my grandmother and I stopped by for lunch and could not have been more pleased with the quality of the food or the impeccable service! I personally recommend The Burlington as it cures your salt cravings with the biscuit portion, your sweet tooth with the splash of maple syrup, and your protein desires with a delightfully cooked sausage and egg combination. The square Swiss cheese on top was the perfect final touch to bring all of the flavors together so seamlessly. They have a long list of other breakfast/lunch items as well as countless pastry options and numerous drinks to pick from.
