Bethany Sea Crest — Local services in Bethany Beach

Was basically accosted by the owners here, as many others in these reviews have. Deigned to pick up a small piece of paper describing a local artist from a pile of identical pieces of paper, like many shops have lying around in case you’d like to look something up later. Was approached by the owner ten minutes later and made to empty my pockets like a schoolboy. I don’t appreciate being surveilled, and I surely don’t appreciate being accosted for taking the equivalent of a business card and then being confronted about it by someone who has nothing better to do than watch the cameras. Makes sense considering there were no other customers and some items in there, even the ones that weren’t hilariously overpriced, seem to have been on the shelves for months. If I had seen the reviews before entering I would have never come in. The short haired woman is very rude. She didn’t like the way I left the changing room and proceeded to tell me as I was purchasing some of their pricey merchandise. Chastised me and then proceeded to talk about me to other customers. Who does that? I controlled myself since we had little ones and only reason purchased my skirt is because why punish myself. Please avoid. In this economy they should be privileged if we come into their store. Oh. And it’s not my job to put thinks perfectly on a hanger....

My daughters and two of their friends (all minors) went in last weekend. They wanted matching items as a souvenir. The rude short-haired woman is evidently acting on par. She assumed they were going to steal merchandise, and she LOCKED THE DOOR while they were inside. She rushed to meet them at the door when they went to exit, unlocking the door after visually shaking them down. That is against fire code. Illegal, and will be reported. I’ve been coming to Bethany my entire life. This store and this woman is a stain on...
