Su Casa — Local services in Bethany Beach

We have been customers of Su Casa in Bethany Beach and Ocean View for several years since moving here three years ago. We have recommended them time and again to countless friends and neighbors. We’ve spent quite a bit of money there and really like their products. That said, we are offering this review in response to a policy they apparently have on returns. We tried to exchange a $30 small print that was a gift from a family member given to us in early June. Due to myriad reasons we were unable to get to the store until this weekend (August 6). They refused to accept the item for exchange (we were hoping to exchange for a different product that would have resulted in more money for the store) citing their 30 day policy. We were then willing to simply do an even exchange for a different print (same product/artist)…again straight out refusal. We accepted their decision but have certainly changed our perspective on the store based on what we feel is a short-sighted policy that doesn’t see the bigger picture. Did we have the receipt you might ask? Yes. Was it in the original plastic package? Yes. My wife is so mad that the $3,500 sofa we have been considering buying is now off the table. This is the result of a short sighted policy. I hope Su Casa will think hard about revising its policy on the future because I would bet that they have cost themselves in both revenue and reputation from other customers.

I loved the store however, the sales girl treated us so rudely it’s hard to imagine why people shop there. I asked for help with a shelf I wanted to buy that had to be taken off the wall.
