I reside in Long Beach And BB Lake (Dual residency) and i was barred from buying a rifle because my Current California drivers license has my long beach address on it. I was told by the lady to "buy the rifle in long beach" and how she wasnt "comfortable" selling me said item. I had just gotten off work and i suspect my work clothes (not filthy, but i work outdoors in the construction industry) were not up to her standards. I have previously spent about $1000 dollars in this place and i was getting ready to drop another $800 and was given no good reason why i was discriminated against except this womans comfort level was buggin out. In retrospect, i should thank her for saving me a couple hundred bucks because i purchased an even better rifle at ammo bros in cerritos. this lady didnt even know what break free clp was. it didnt matter anyway because they dont carry it. then some little dork left his post in the useless employee department to make sure i knew he had his eye on me. maybe if i wore an armani suit i could have gotten a little respect. there are way better prices on most everything big 5 sells online or "down the hill".plus their ammo selection sucks and the service swallows. that said, the young lady at the register is nice and the lady that normally works the ammo/firearm counter (blonde, mid 40's ) actually knows something about guns, ammo and firearm related items and is also cool. my suspicion is the lady that turned me away is an anti gun type, and used her "power" to keep a law abiding citizen who is completely qualified to own and purchase firearms from being able to protect himself under the second amendment of our constitution. i might go back to big five if i need some overpriced junk that is made in...

So its not associate responsibility to make sure put right items to correct advertising place.good to know!! And when I asked to honor their mistake and not missleasd client they refuse. Read moreHorrible experience going to the big 5 in big bear, where do I start, first off we were looking for sleds and tried asking the cashier a question about the sleds and she rudely toldhe doesn’t know then there was awkward silence. So we then asked another person and they misled us to buy the wrong type of sled. We used it once and immediately regretted it because the whole thing split into pieces. We were told it’s the more durable and better option, but after one use it fell apart. We tried to go back 1 hour later after purchasing and another cashier told us to wait to talk to a manager. We politely asked if it was possible to exchange and attempted to show our receipt but the manager was quick to silence us with smug remarks and talked down to us in a fashion demeaning the customer. Such horrible service and advice anyone not to...
