Absolutely terrible experience. Rented skis for my teenage son, but the boots were too small (and worn out) and skis were too long. Ended up having to rent another set of boots and skis for him at Snow Summit, because it would simply have taken too long to go back down and exchange with limited hours to ride. Returned the skis to BV one day early, asked for refund for only the second day (which we won’t have the skis for), was told no and rudely lectured by unhelpful guy at the counter that we could have taken the shuttle back to the parking lot, driven back to the store to exchange the skis, etc. - basically that it was our fault. . This is our second time visiting this shop and are very happy with the service. First time we needed some rentals and that went well. Then my goggles broke on my last trip so I needed new ones. Tried to get some help at another big ski store but all I got was deep sighs from the employees when I tried to put goggles on for fit, and also the employees didn't know anything about goggles. And if I'm considering spending close to $400 on goggles I'd like to make sure they're the right ones. So I ended up going to this store and was blown away by the friendly service from Cody. He was super helpful, he was knowledgeable and made sure I ended up with the right product, not just the most expensive product. I was so thankful after that experience. Rented some equipment here for my son to learn how to ski. Cheaper prices than at the resort yet it’s nice and conveniently located just down the street from Snow Summit. Friendly staff set up my 5 year old son with a pair of boots and skis according to his height. Kid picked up skiing after only about 500’ down the run...pizza & French fries!! 😆 Also, they saved the day when I needed a set of Burton “The Channel” hardware. The one worker thought they didn’t have any in stock but his coworker overheard and said no I think there’s one over in the drawer. He saved the day and I got the hardware I needed.
