Ski and Snowboard Rental Shop - Snow Summit — Local services in Big Bear Lake

They say it’s mandatory parking and make you pay $20 for it when theres free parking when you get there. If you bought the parking pass, you park at the same place as the free parking so don’t bother wasting your money. They also don’t have it listed that children need to be 2 years old to ride on the website and our almost two year old met all the requirements for height and weight. They denied us entry. They will misinform you and will not give you a refund. That’s how they make their money. They only give you a voucher for riding again but how are we going to do that when he’s not two yet? We also only had this weekend to do this tube experience. So they make you pay for “mandatory parking passes” when in reality it is not mandatory. They also have you rent double tubes beforehand and when you get there they will not have them available. Don’t bother wasting your money because they have cheaper all day tubing at alpines slide at magic mountain. Alpine has better attractions and cheaper tubing for ALL DAY rather than the 1 & 1/2 hours they make you pay for at snow summit. We had a much better experience at Alpine and will not be returning to Snow...

Well this is my experience: Tuesday I went there to snowboarding, first time on the snow in US, usually I have my own equipment but this time I decided to rent it…I paid one day rental snowboard and bindings. I went there I asked the young guy a snowboard ( meantime he was flirting with 3 chicks renting ski ) he asked me what size bindings I said 9-10 and he said 12 …I said nope 9-10 . Well he didn’t ask me about regular or goofy, he was busy to be funny with the girls.. I said please in goofy …he said doesn’t matter . I said OK doesn’t matter also for me because I can go left or right I don t care . Well I got the snowboard I arrived on top of the mountain, I put my boots on bindings and I couldn’t tight the binding because too big . The worst check in process I’ve ever had a ski resort. We’ve been here over an hour and haven’t even gone into the rental area yet. We thought renting from the resort would be more streamlined, but I can’t imagine anything further from the truth. The check in process is not detailed or clear in any way and every employee we’ve asked for assistance has been blunt, rude, and minimally helpful.
