Today I went in as It was coupon day (I only shop at goodwill if they are offering some sort of coupon as the prices have increased WAY too much.
I found a dress that they had priced at $9.99. $10 is pretty expensive for a USED dress. I looked it over & it had several self-tanning lotion looking stains, & some other unknown stains, so I asked the cashier if they could mark it down. The cashier was pretty short, & said âwe wonât do that anymoreâ. You guys are getting items for FREE. What sense does it make to charge $10 for a stained, used dress? Especially since it will most likely end up in a landfill instead of you making money on it.
Goodwill constantly says how theyâre âgreenâ & that they do so much to help the environment, this is why you say youâve eliminated plastic bags, well are you really doing that much to help if a customer is trying to salvage an item but you refuse to take a couple dollars off the price?
Even if you would have offered to take $3 off that would be fine. But instead you choose to be greedy. Iâve heard goodwill claim they need to price their items so high to âsupport the communityâ, or âtheir job programsâ. Well to that I would say that there are plenty of businesses who Do not receive their items 100% free, yet they still are able to profit well AND support the community.
Price the items according to their quality at the very least. If youâre going to price things so high whatever, but at least look over the items before you do so. If a customer finds something clearly wrong with the item, there is no reason you canât...
Read moreThe cashier was very nice. The oder lady that was by the door was very rude. There was many people standing in line to check out. This lady was yelling at customers to stop shopping that they had to stand next to cart while in line. She said it several times to multiple customers and even argued with customers. Very unprofessional and I don't want myself or anyone else deserves to be treated like that. I don't recommend this location! I can't believe that goodwill allowed the employee to yell at multiple customers over...

Goodwill is supposed to help humanity NOT jack up prices that are unaffordable for the down and ou struggling people. Big rapids corporate should be ashamed and feel super small, because it is apparent that this store is about the dollar and not about helping people what's so...
