We are "city slickers" and went to find boots for an important event. And boy did they have boots! Hundreds of pairs I'd wager( and anything else a real rider could need i think), but what took us by surprise was the helpful and courteous staff. Us, being self professed city folk, didn't put the sales person off. She (I think her name was Meg) stepped up even more and guided us through the styles, the fit, what to expect and feel when we wear them. Never trying to get us to buy anything beyond our needs, she explained how they differ from trying on shoes and how to break them in and the upkeep and care of them long term. Meg made the shopping process not only bearable, but enjoyable. I took a leather messenger bag to Kelly at Arizona Saddlery for repair. I had work done there years ago. She sent the bag out to Steve at the Clarkston store. He kept the bag for 8 weeks, promising several times to return my call (he never did). He had plenty of excuses from not having the correct leather, not having the correct rivets, too busy pulling his taxes together, to I'm busy with my horse customers. Finally after all that time I had him send it back to Royal Oak - not repaired. Very dissatisfied!
