We had been looking for an area rug for our family room for several months. I visited Birmingham Design Studio on a few separate occasions. I was always greeted by someone from their team to help me look through their incredibly large selection of stunning area rugs. They never pressured me, which allowed me to feel comfortable as I looked through their selection. I found the perfect area rug...and this is when I began to realize just how special their design team treated their clients.

I shared a few things with them in casual conversation. The first thing was that we had received a damaged piece of high end furniture from another home furnishing store. I also shared that there was a particular piece of artwork I was interested in for my kitchen. And I mentioned that I had missed out on a home accessory I was going to purchase because it had been discontinued.

The next day, Kristi from Birmingham Design Studio called me, and one by one addressed EVERYTHING I had mentioned to her.

She ordered a new liner (free of charge) and a new custom leg for our damaged furniture direct from the manufacturer...even though the furniture was not purchased at her store. She opened an account with the company that produced the artwork we were interested in purchasing. And of course, she had found the discontinued accessory (at about half the price) and was having it sent to the store.

I cannot say enough good things about this team. I will go out of my way to purchase from them in the future because I think they are TRULY WONDERFUL & TALENTED PEOPLE who have outstanding work ethic. And I will always recommend them to others, because I know first hand that they care about...

After agreeing on layouts for my dining, living and family room, the team at BDS helped choose everything from paint color, light fixtures, coordinating rugs and fabrics for furniture. Before I met Kristi, I spent many hours shopping around across Michigan for fine rugs. However, making the right selection is challenging without an expert. Kristi never stopped looking for a quality rug that I was happy with. They shipped several rugs in and allowed me to actually try them in my rooms to make sure I was comfortable with the purhcase. They also really educated me on the qualtiy of different rugs, knots, origins, etc. Wow! Thats customer service.
