If you are looking for a new nail salon to call your own.. this is not the place! Existing customers are treated better, acknowledged, and greeted with a smile, new clients... you are lucky to receive a Hello! My former nail salon closed down in 2020.. I have been on the hunt since for a clean, nice place to go get regular manicures and pedicures. First time I called to make an appointment I was placed on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. I could hear two people chatting about nothing in the background and assumed they just forgot about me. I called back a few days later, as I already crossed two other local places off my list, to give it another chance. It was great, nice, and clean. Called back a few weeks later to make another appointment. I sat for 30 minutes after my appointment time with no greeting, no colors offered, and not even an apology for the wait. Finally after two other existing clients walked in, greeted by name and a smile, and went right to chairs for service, I got up and left. Apparently I was suppose to check “appointment” box next to the walk in box, which, I selected neither. Maybe if I was acknowledged or asked upon arrival, it would of been cleared up quickly. I have been a loyal customer going to Birmingham Nails every 2 weeks for 4 years. Tony the owner and the nail technicians typically have always been professional, warm, and do a wonderful job. Unfortunately they have been hit hard by COVID and lack employees showing up to work like the rest of the world. Even if you make an appointment by calling several weeks in advance they do not honor it and do not call to cancel the appointment. When approaching them about the appointment issue which has been experience several times I was yelled at by both Tony and the nail technicians that general appointments are not given priority that you need to make an appointment directly with the tech. They did this in front of everyone in the store which was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. I would never go back and am very disappointment in the unprofessional behavior. If you try the salon out make sure you get the nail techs name and number and text/call them directly. DO NOT CALL THE STORE AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT or beware of having to wait and hour and/or being yelled at....

NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!! Me and my friend went for our first pedi and mani here. Amanda did mine and Amy did my girlfriend's. The quality of products and polish they use is very cheap and as our toe nails and finger nails polish started chipping the very first day we got it done!!! (Usually my pedicure stays for over a month!) and my nails are breaking- which never happened before! Moreover, they have the worst customer service skills evident by lack of coordination and proper communication between the staff. One person will seat you and the other person will ask what are you here for and the third person would ask if you're ready even if they really aren't ready for you! Irrespective of appointment, be prepared to wait as they are very unorganized! Their staff is very unprofessional and rude. They show absolutely no responsibility of their poor behavior to their customers!! They have poor hygiene at for pedicure as a lot of their disposable products get reused! Worst place I've ever been to to get my nails and pedicure done! Never going...
