hello, I'm not sure who I would talk to to complain about an employee, i messaged directly but have gotten no reply as of yet. there were two employees present that I interacted with, a very pleasant older woman with short dark hair and the employee in question an extremely rude heavy set older woman with gray hair. my wife and I were in today 4-1-24 on a thrifting trip to celebrate her birthday at around 1230 in the afternoon. we are from minot and come down every few months to antique and thrift. we've been there before and had a good experience and we figured today would be the same but it was not to be so. we started shopping as we normally would and had a decent sized pile of stuff by the register and a 400 dollar budget for this store today so we continued going thru and picking out items we liked. we came across booth 114 where there was a sign clearly displayed on a shelf that said all items are 50 percent off. we of course thoroughly went thru this booth and chose quite a few items we both liked a lot and when I was bringing up another armload of stuff I had said wow that's a great deal so everything in 114 is half price, to which the grey haired lady snapped no that sale is over. I replied I'm sorry but there is a sign stating otherwise. she said no there isn't we took em all down. I again said ma'am the sign is clearly displayed in the booth. she then replied show me this sign then. we walked back and showed her the sign and she simply said well that shouldn't be there and grabbed it and crumpled it up. I was like I'm not trying to be rude but there was signage advertising a sale, any respectable retailer would honor it. she again stated the sale was over and she wouldn't do it and I again said of your displaying the sign you should really honor it, this was a deciding factor in us purchasing a lot of items. she then actually had the gall to raise her voice and yell at me and I quote say "Fine I'll give it to for half then then if it'll get you to shut up about it" at which point I thought my wife was going to literally start crying, and she just wanted to leave at that point as we are absolutely not accustomed to being yelled at by any employee in any retail setting let alone by an old lady in a nicer antique shop. so that's exactly what we did. we left probably a good 150 or so in merchandise we had already chosen sitting on the counter not to mention half the store to go thru yet to spend our budget for this stop. I told her what we though of her service and that we would be posting a review about it on Facebook, Google and yelp. I would again like to reiterate the dark haired lady was very pleasant and honestly looked absolutely mortified when the rude old lady yelled at us. I spoke to her a bit on the way out and let her know how disappointed we were and thst we would likely not be back nor will we be recommending this place to anyone in the future. quite the opposite to be honest. I feel bad for the dark haired lady having to deal with working with the other one, she looked like she was pretty unhappy with her. so in conclusion and I apologize for the lengthy message, I would seriously consider reprimanding that employee and making it clear to her in no uncertain terms that is not how a paying customer should be treated, it started off my wifes birthday rather poorly to say the least and really cast a shadow over the entire trip which should have been a fun enjoyable experience. thanks for your time and if this isn't where I need to voice this concern I would appreciate contact info for whomever I would need to talk...
Read moreWent in here a few months ago to get a gift certificate for my sister. She loves thrifting and this place would have been right up her ally. After telling me I was asking for too low of an amount for the certificate, Bernadette, the lady working the register, asked what name to put on it. I told her my sisters name and she began to go off explaining how ugly of a name it was and how she would be embarrassed to have the name. The entire interaction was horrible. Absolutely terrible customer service at this place. ESPECIALLY since I was getting a gift certificate, which for them is a sale without actually selling anything. If I was working at a thrift store, I would be appreciative of people who are spending money in my store and not even taking any merchandise. Anyway, long story short, this lady who works here was extremely rude for absolutely no reason. I recommend you steer clear of this place and go to other thrift stores in the bis/man area. There are a lot better places in the community for your...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Woman at the register was on her phone for five minutes before finally checking us out. Asked if I wanted a bag, I said "please" and she tossed it at me for me to open lol. Some of the stuff inside is pretty neat, but I did find a sewing basket that I actually own already - bought it from Walmart about two years ago. Not exactly "antique" and the price they were asking is more than I paid for it, so. Not really worth my time or...
