Well, who knew?! Fin is exactly what Bismarck-Mandan needed. Fin is an all you can eat style restaurant, hosting options such as sushi, steak, thai, hibachi, and so much more. Fin is a modern, chic, lively establishment! Their face-lift and rebrand was everything they needed. I appreciate their modern, up-beat feel.. that is open, quaint and inviting! Bonus POINTS, for their awesome selection of music.. that was current and trending. I dined alone, as I wrote this review, and it was so nice to be able to just sit back, enjoy a tasty meal, a delicious cocktail (Moscow mule for $5.99) and listen to up-beat, good music. I appreciate it, to say the least. The last establishment, Oahu, was great but also lack luster in the fact their music selection was very poor (talking Christmas music & lullabies in July!) …. So it is was such a different, refreshing vibe. I love an establishment that makes me forget that I am in a small town and makes me feel like I am elsewhere. The first time I came in, the staff was so attentive; especially the owner. Who greeted my entire table and left a positive impression on all of us. When I came in by myself, the staff made me feel like I was having lunch with a friend.. but at a respectful distance that wasn’t overbearing! Love it. hope it stays for a long time and hopefully not too many...
Read moreI’m disappointed to say the least. The food was the saving grace. My meal was good but nothing outstanding. Our server, while she was friendly, was obviously not well trained. The assumption we were going to do the all you can eat was extremely confusing for both parties. She walked away a few times with no warning before coming back to take our order for a second time. None of the food came out at the same time which is uncomfortable. Most people prefer to not start to eat without the rest of the table as it is often considered rude. At the end of the meal while we were splitting tabs, our server didn’t write anything down so had to come back to figure out how to split checks, and then had to ask again because she forgot to write it down. While paying in cash they assumed no change, which was not the case. I think after some better training, it could definitely improve. The tables were very close together, felt as though everyone could hear my conversation and vice versa. The dinner was extremely overpriced for the service and the quality. I really Love Kobe’s so I’m shocked that this restaurant is not as good. I would say stick with Kobe’s, you...
Read moreThis was our first experience here. My wife and i along with our daughter ate here for dinner tonight. Love the concept of the menu, 30.00 for dinner and you can order anything on the menu and as much as you want. The value is there for the food and the food wa really good. Unfortunately, our server really ruined our first experience there. Multiple times he came and asked what we would like. Multiple times told him we were waiting on the food we ordered. He came back by and asked if we were ready for our check, we said, no, we're still waiting for our food. He asked if we wanted to put in another order. I asked if he had our last order of sushi, said it should be out later. Meanwhile, other tables were getting plate after plate. Finally the manager came and checked on us, and he had our food out in 5 minutes. I dont know why our waiter couldn't get it out in 30 minutes. Was very frustrating. The inside was very nice and laid out well. Don't know that I cam say I will be back due to the service, but I would recommend giving it a try. Their food is really good. The Olympic...
