I want to thank the antique store for being very helpful to my mom. She was looking for a specific can opener type tool and received lots of help. I was trying to find military memorabilia but unfortunately no luck this time around.
Also I did want to give the owner praise for how she handled a situation that occurred while I was in the store. We went during the very busy annual Lavender Festival. We love going to this store and are frequent visitors when passing through.
This year they had lockers up at the front of the store for people to store their backpacks, and over sized items, purses, bags, etc. you would just lock it with the assigned key and thatās it. I thought how cool! This makes walking around super convenient and give my arms a break lol. Well one lady when asked again if she had heard the owner tell her the rules about using the lockers just ignored her and basically caused a fuss⦠Iām not sure why people, adults, canāt follow a stores rules. In my opinion if you canāt follow the rules you shouldnāt be allowed to shop. There are a lot of breakable items you just donāt know when an accident can happen.
Keep doing the lockers maāam, many customers such as myself enjoyed using them. Hope to see yall again...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI advise you to read the business response to this post. The business changed their original response which additionally implies I donāt have common sense. Also, the original review stated they were polite and didnāt want anything broken. Their altered response states they will change their policies as crime and other situations arise. Does that sound like concern of something simply getting broken?
My original review mentions feeling like, I, as and adult, and my mom felt like the implication was that this business was treating us like a child or a criminal by asking to hold our purse. This was asked after we had been in the store for 10 minutes. We said no thank you. Then it was stated by the employee that they keep bags behind their counter. We didnāt want to keep our personal belongings behind a store counter so we left. Their signage outside includes something along the lines of, no food or drinks and to watch your children, if they break something you have to pay for it. Again, the original implications are we might break or steal something.
Many of their negative reviews are met with excuses. Especially after their altered response, not a business I will support...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was fantastic! I couldāve easily spent all day in here. I loved looking at everything. Found prices to be reasonable and there were many Labor Day sales in the booths.
I felt perfectly welcome there with my 3 small children, just kept them close as you would and should in literally any antique shop in the entire world, lol. Iām sad for them they need signs to tell people that, but not like thatās their fault.
And I greatly appreciate that they didnāt have a bunch of corny booths with modern day junk. š¬ I donāt mind a small amount of that but itās always sad to see an āantiqueā store mostly full of cheap, modern trinkets and MLM. Not here.
Iād recommend this antique mall for anyone at all - they had a SUPER wide variety of items, eras, and prices. Well kept up. We...
