Just want to preface this by saying that the technicians that have been sent out here have always been great. Both David and John that came out were awesome. The problem I have is with whole ordeal and the scheduling, as well as the customer call center if you can even get a hold of a human. Initially you will get routed to Sam, the AI thing. It took Sears a month and half to get my refrigerator fixed. First it was 2 weeks before they could get out here. I have a homeowners warranty and Sears is the only one that will come out to where I am that works with my warranty company. So the technician came out, diagnosed the problem, and ordered the parts. Tech said he had an incorrect phone number for me, so I immediately call their customer service number to get that corrected. I was assured the number was changed. The appt with the tech I made was almost 2 weeks out, then the appt got rescheduled again automatically to a few more days out, which was fine. The parts were delivered to my house pretty quick. A few days before appt, I was getting email reminders from Sears and even up until the morning of the appt. Then the whole day went by and I heard nothing from no one, so I contacted toll free number (call center appears to be in India btw) and was told my appt needed to be rescheduled because of an emergency the tech had. Earliest appt they had was 2 weeks out again. No accommodation at all. So I waited and a few days before the appt, I kept getting email reminders up until the day of the appt. Then again, no one showed up and no calls or emails. So again I call the customer service number and am told again they didn't have a tech to send, so I need to reschedule the appt. Again, two more weeks out and no accommodation. My warranty company doesn't even have any pull with Sears and basically told me I was SOL unless I wanted to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed. I choose not to do that, because even though they probably would have paid me, the fact that Sears already sent the parts to my home, I would be required to pay a restocking fee for return of the parts. Today, the tech, John actually showed up. Very nice guy and my fridge appears to be working like it should. BTW, the tech again had the wrong number even after I called to get it fixed and was assured it would cascade through all their systems. So disappointed in what has happened to Sears Appliance Repair. I've used them for years, through my warranty company and warranties on products I bought through Sears on my own. They were always great. Do...
Read moreI would give 0 if possible. No call in the morning with eta, eta was online set to 10:30-12:27 at 8AM until 1:30PM and then they updated it at 1:30PM to set the eta to 1:30-2:02. At 2:00PM they share that they arrived and that they have finished their service and asked me to rate the service, although no one arrived. I know no one arrrived and nobody called, as I was home all day wasting time waiting for the technician when it is my only day off and I needed to get other things done at the house that required getting parts from the store which I couldn’t do due to the lack of communication and inaccessibility of an actual person through...
Read moreI paid for an estimate for repair of my washing machine and got a receipt for that $139. The estimate was txt'd to me with errors. I have called the help line four times and each time they send me a copy of the receipt not the estimate. Every time I complain they send me to the help line that has failed four times to produce the estimate. There is no way to elevate or redirect my issue so I keep going to the same people and they keep giving me the wrong...
