I went to the Cell Phone Doctor after my screen on my phone cracked so bad that it cut my finger. So I decided to purchase a new phone. One, the store it was extremely hard to find. I put it in the GPS. I still had trouble finding the place. Two, the phone I received was so locked up by the previous owner I couldn't even factory reset it. I tried every trick in the book and none of them worked. I traveled way back across town to return the phone and to see if I could traded it in. After looking at my receipt there was three- six days (I believe) return policy that was in place. I was afraid they wouldn't take the phone back because of the policy. But I was extremely too close to the person that owned the phone previously; I knew where he lived and had access to his credit cards. I felt extremely uncomfortable that the phone wasn't wiped clean. I even went as far as to e-mail the previous owner (again how much information I had at my fingertips) he couldn't remember his factory lock reset code or didn't want to give it to me. It was understood I was a complete stranger. When I asked the guy there he had no clue why I couldn't factory reset and he tried the same things I tried at home to reset the phone. I received another phone. I turned it on and tried it in the store. I sat in the parking and it glitched while I was in the car. I thought because it was needing some crucial updates that after I installed them it would be fine. I was wrong, my phone has been on the fritz every since. Shutting itself off, freezing, deleting all my contacts and text messages randomly, overheating, the whole phone operating system failing and etc... Although, I know this a place where you are buying used phones. You pay for what you get. But he assured me that I was getting the second best phone he had; the first being the one I turned back in. It was a great phone and I didn't want to turn it back in. But I had to because I couldn't reset the phone to save my life.I wish I would of took the phone back again when it glitched in the parking lot. I've tried updates and looking online to solve the issues. At this point I regret the money I spent (I could of bought a new phone from my phone company). My sister got a phone from them and I was recommended by my dad to go to them because of their good experience. But my experience was not to say the least. I normally don't post reviews. But I felt that although like many others I read the good and the bad reviews I made my decision from there. Please do your research and make sure your phone works properly before you pull off. Read the return policy closely. If your phone starts showing a sign of trouble take it back...
Read moreDo not do business here. I have taken 4 different phones to this place (2 of my own) and have gotten nothing but the worst back. The first time the screen on my iPhone turned off. I took the phone in and picked it up a few days later and the sound was totally messed up. I could barely hear any calls. I have two friends who also took their phones for similar reasons and got it back put together totally wrong. My most recent experience was the worst. I dropped a new phone in water and was frantic to get it fixed so I thought I would give Cell Phone Doctor another chance. WRONG. When I brought my phone in the man working said there was only a 25% chance of fixing it which is understandable, but I paused a moment to think about my options. He then took a new tone and very rudely said "I mean its a $700 dollar phone so...". When a customer comes in frantic because they have no mode of communication and are stressed out the last thing the business should do is take a rude and pushy tone with them. I went against my better judgement and left the phone there to be "fixed" then I received a call that they were unable to do so. I understand that they couldn't fix it, but when I went to the store to pick it up the owner was on a call phone. He gave my phone to me and offered me to buy one of their used phones. The owner then picked up the phone and continued to talk while I was still standing there with a puzzled look on my face, however it did not take me long to decide I would NOT do business there again. I went to my cell phone provider to get a new phone and when the whole ordeal was over I picked up the broken phone and realized when I shook it that the insides were not right. It felt like a whole battery or piece inside the phone was loose and shaking around. This only happened after I left it at the Cell Phone Doctor to be "fixed." OBVIOUSLY they opened the phone took some pieces apart then said they couldn't fix it and did a terrible job putting it back together. So save yourself the stress and DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. Try another place that my cell provider recommended called "U Break I Fix." Anything is better...
Read moreI bought a LG phone at this store only to have to return it within three days due to a malfunction. I replaced it a Samaung Galaxy J3 Prime and had to return it the next day due to a malfunction. The employee gave a replacement phone. I went to turn the phone on at T-Mobile and they report that this phone was a corporate cellphone and the bill on the phone was not paid therefore the phone cannot be used. I was annoyed because The Cellphone Doctor employee didn't check this out before giving me this replacement phone. I had to drive back to this business, a 3rd time, to get another replacement. The new phone I finally received worked for a month but stopped working all of a sudden (the phone wouldn't charge at all). I went in to have them look at the phone and they stated there was a small crack in the corner, and that's why the phone isn't working/charging. I've had several Samaung phones with some being completely shattered and they would still work and the battery would charge. The rude owner was quick to state that there was nothing he could do, even under warranty, and never offered to repair it (even if it involved a fee). The owner is rude but the employees are friendly. I think finding a good phone in here is like finding a needle in a haystack. They buy most of their phones on Craigslist. All these multiple visits and I am an unsatisfied former customer without a phone. Needing a phone was what brought me here (go figure).
Don't waste your time here...unless you have time to waste. I am HIGHLY unsatisfied.
Update: January 14th, 2020- a whole year later, the owner harrasses me on my feedback about their shady business. Again, the OWNER is rude an now trying to assume that I broke my phone after 3 extra visits to receive terrible phones and phones that were corporate accounts with prior balances on them. I made too many UNNECESSARY trips to this store. This proves he does not value his customers (or just certain ones🤔). It seems this OWNER doesn't assume responsibility for running a...
