Me and a friend of mines had a much needed catching up and we dined over brunch. Raylin was our server and she was the absolute sweetest. Whilst there was a jammed pack full house staff in training all I noticed was the smiles and love that floated throughout the atmosphere. I got to see the owners in action and despite the heavy traffic they too were still smiling and serving and this means a lot as I too myself am a small business owner in the food industry as well.
One thing that stuck out the most you could feel and also tell that Raylin absolutely loved her job the suggestions to what we should have to her accepting our compliments about the place in general on behalf of her bosses says a lot nowadays most people freely speak their minds without a care in the world of who they may be talking too. She spoke soooo highly of her bosses and how much she enjoys working there and it showed.
We stayed for almost 3 hours truly exploring the menu we had cocktails and the biscuits for starters that was absolutely delicious. For our meal we couldn’t help but notice everyone I mean literally all we seen were these beautifully plated chicken sandwiches and chips it was like all the guest came for this one plate but then here we were wanting what everyone else had and it was absolutely delicious. You can tell they cook with love and passion ours came out fresh and plated just as beautiful as everyone else’s that we got to see before ours so we were not disappointed. The pairings of the sauce on the sandwich was truly something special as well as my drink the aesthetics of the restaurant isn’t just cute but so is the food and it was delicious.
To say the least this place gets a 10/10 from me and my friend it’s always great to visit a new restaurant with a new niche but having great customer service is a whole different experience for itself. Safe to say we found us new brunch spot and we know ladies love a good brunch an affordable...
Read moreA Disastrous Brunch Experience at House of Marigold
If you’re looking for a chaotic, unprofessional brunch spot that treats its guests with disrespect, look no further than House of Marigold. Our experience was nothing short of a disaster, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
We arrived and were told there was an hour wait, but bar tables were first come, first serve. Fair enough. We secured two high-tops and two bar seats while we waited. Shortly after, a hostess in a black shirt approached us, saying a six-top was being cleaned for our group. She then asked if my 6-pound miniature dachshund, a service animal who helps with my panic disorder, was a service dog. When I confirmed, she pet my working dog without even asking (a major no-no for service animals!) and assured us the table would be ready shortly.
Once the table was cleared, we moved over to avoid blocking the doorway. Then the nightmare began. A man approached us, asked if we had been sat, and we explained the hostess had seated us. Instead of clarifying with her, he went back and forth, ultimately returning to tell us there had been a "misunderstanding" and demanded we get up—even though we had already been seated. His justification? “You’d have menus if you were supposed to be here.”
What’s worse, the hostess completely shirked responsibility and didn’t admit that she had seated us. To top it all off, the man informed me that my service dog wasn’t allowed in the restaurant—an outright violation of ADA laws.
The atmosphere was abysmal. It was so loud you couldn’t hold a conversation, and the staff’s lack of communication and accountability made the experience unbearable. House of Marigold needs serious training in professionalism, customer service, and basic legal compliance. Until then, I’ll be taking my brunch business elsewhere.
Zero stars if that...

Walking into House of Marigold on a Saturday morning, we were optimistic about enjoying a delightful brunch with a party of six. We were quoted a wait time of one hour, but the promise of bar and high-top seating being first come, first served was enticing. After securing six seats, we settled in, eagerly anticipating our meal.
However, within five minutes, a hostess approached us, informing us that our table was being cleaned and we would be seated soon. Excited by this promptness, we were led to our table shortly after. But our enthusiasm quickly turned sour when a male staff member arrived shortly after we sat down, insisting that there had been a misunderstanding and that we still had to wait for a table.
Rather than acknowledging the earlier communication from the hostess, he called us liars, claiming that had we been correctly seated, menus would have been provided. The denial of the staff's own policy was baffling. To make matters worse, the server echoed the same disrespectful sentiment instead of attempting to resolve the situation.
This was not only a failure in communication but also a glaring breakdown of customer service. It’s disheartening to have such a frustrating experience as a first-time guest. House of Marigold left a bitter taste that no amount of delicious food could ever remedy. A simple acknowledgment of the mistake could have turned this experience around, but instead, it has ensured I will never return. Avoid this establishment if you’re looking for a pleasant...
