They are a cool store. Nice pieces. I was a little disappointed. I had worked hard for years mining and refining gold from hard rock, just for the gentleman to tell me my hard work was just floor sweepings. They aren't and it's is refined to 24k standard. I had brought several ounces of 24k gold dust bullion. Plus I had moissanite stones and he told me he couldn't tell if they were real or CZ. How are you running a jewelry store and can't tell the difference between a real stone and a fake. Which is quite easy to tell the difference. Great if you have old scrap pieces, but don't bring them the real deal they will just down it because they don't actually know pure gold when they see it. But luckily other local businesses saw the true beauty of what I had to offer them and made the sale.
Edit: I am not a fake review account. I am a gold prospector and miner. I made this review because if there are others like me out there that have worked extremely hard to mine and make the gold that this isn't the place to take your hard earned work. They work with scrap so they are used to seeing alloyed pre fabricated items. 22k in a already made form is probably the highest purity they can recognize. But their competitors will profit just fine. Im selling 24k cheaper than anyone else around. And I wasn't unhappy you didn't buy my gold or Moissanite. I was unhappy with the fact you didn't seem to know what you were talking about. And you even stated you didn't have anything to test to see if it was CZ or Moissanite. Just because you have been in business for that long doesn't mean you carry the actual knowledge of most things you see. You work in a store that deals with scrap, Im one of the ones who goes and finds it in nature. We aren't the same. It was more of a test to see if you were a deserving person given I have the mine and could've made your pockets fatter than you could fathom. But you proved your worth and it's only that of your shop of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis business was recently recommended to me by a family member. Unfortunately I did not receive the same service they did. I went in today to have some work done on two sterling silver rings. Both rings are sentimental, one of them having my motherās diamond set in it with turquoise, and the other being from a trip to Ireland years ago. From the onset of the conversation it was clear the gentleman speaking with me did not have any interest in helping me with these two pieces. I was told āmost jewelers donāt work on sterling silver, or even learn how to, because they donāt like to do itā. This was perplexing, as I have had work and resizing done on several sterling silver rings over the years, including these very two rings. I was reluctantly, verbally quoted a rough estimate for a shank replacement and resizing on one ring, and another resizing on the other. But, it was reiterated that my āstones could crack and that jewelers just donāt like working with sterling silverā. I asked if he just didnāt want to work on these rings, and he replied he doesnāt do the work, but that they are sent off (standard practice)ā¦ābut sterling silver⦠they donāt like to.. ā. I believe he simply didnāt see much profit in doing this work for me. Of course he had no way of knowing what kind of customer he might have gained with good service⦠I had presented him with simple sterling silver, after all. I told him that his assertion has not been my experience at all, and I left and drove to another jewelry store who was happy to do the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove Love Love this store and the people who own it. I found Then and Now a few years ago when I needed a ring repaired. Their estimate was reasonable (less) compared to other jewelers and they did a terrific job - since then I stop by occasionally to have rings cleaned, watch batteries etc., and to purchase an item here or there. I have found them to be very ethical and they have treated me very fairly on trade-ins and purchases. Recently my husband had my engagement diamond reset in a beautiful estate setting that Karl had. I loved it! If you need jewelry, repairs, or just a watch battery, I would highly recommend...
