My 16 yr old niece was quoted an amount to do her hair with photos shared of her hair and what she was hoping for. While we understand that things change in person, she was completely taken advantage of. Trying to get her in before school started she had to be dropped off at the salon. Upon seeing her hair, the stylist admitted that what she wanted could not be achieved for the quoted price of 120 and asked how much money she had. She said she had 220. The stylist proceeded to highlight her hair. When done, she asked about a cut which my niece declined telling her "my mom cut my hair a few days ago and will do it if needed" After much banter back and forth the woman told my niece she didn't want her clients to leave with dead ends and would take them off free of charge. The man that actually did the trim admitted to a "small charge" When checking out my niece was charged 70$ for this hair cut and total was charged $295, all confirmed by the receipt. Thank goodness her ride could front the extra money, and still tipped on top. At 16..she was very overwhelmed and unhappy as her hair honestly didn't look much different at all. The next day her mother called to voice her concerns to the manager/supervisor "Nelly" And was just laughed at. Basically said my niece lied about everything despite the fact that her ride, a mother and family friend, confirmed the trim conversation, and her mother was involved in the initial phone consultation as well. I am mind baffled as to where this person thought this extra money would come from knowing my 16 year old niece had $220 TOTAL.. I am disgusted by the blatant and deliberate exploitation of a naive and hard working minor with her babysitting money. And I'm enraged by the laughing disregard that was displayed in response to legitimate concerns brought to light by a well-intentioned mother trying to right the wrong. Paraphrasing; she was told an intimated teen should have spoken up then, or the mother "should have come with her." These unreasonable immediate assessments of the services received are ridiculous and despicable. I hope the owner /supervisor that giggled about my nieces' drain of her bank account can sleep well knowing that we got her tears to stop and she has learned a life lesson about dishonest...
Read moreAFTER YOU READ THIS, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STOP AND CALL THIS PLACE. Listen, in my years of being a proud Google Local Guide, I rarely want to burst with excitement over the services provided me but Evolve Hair Salon DESERVES your patronage and mine. The owner, Justin, has put a lot of work into creating an environment that allows lucky goers to experience a “Queen” like setting from the moment you enter until the second you exit. That’s what I felt like, anyway. Jeremy Rogers is their expert in hair color, highlights and shadowing. He meticulously chooses the correct color after taking a long look at your hair, examines it, and gathers information based on your needs, wants, and desires. His #1 goal is to make you go “wow” at the end of the service. He takes his time. I never felt rushed. And at Evolve, they never “double book” you with someone else to gain more money. He confirmed that the time a client reserves for service, that time belongs to you and no one else. What a refreshing, and appreciated attitude! LOVED IT!!! AND THE RESULTS OF MY COLOR WAS MAGNIFICENT!
Time for wash, cut and blow dry: The shampoo experience was something to write home about! It was ooooh so good! Tranquil lighting, soft/relaxing music, and a head massage like you wouldn’t believe. Alanna McGeachy was the service expert for this part. She’s a Senior Hairdresser with highly refined people skills. She tenderly assesses my hair section by section then in a separate interview, determines the “method of attack”. When finished, my head looked like a work of art! Truly, my hair was healthy looking, perfectly shaped, and I was wearing a smile from ear to ear! Job well done, Alanna! Price: Okay, let’s face it, “You get what you pay for.” I’ve been t o Super Cuts. HATED IT. And I’ve been to mid-priced salons. Better, but not always happy. Now EVOLVE. Any ya know what? NO OTHER SALON DESERVES MY HARD-EARNED MONEY LIKE EVOLVE HAS. And because they promise you’ll love their work, I have no reason to doubt that promise. Now go, book, and experience what I did: The best in the business! EVOLVE. REMEMBER IT! You’ll be glad you did. You’re...
Read moreThis used to be a great place.... now hudson hawk is the place to go... the guy at hudson hawk really puts effort into what he does... he actually cares and tries his best! Last time I went to evolve I waited 12 minutes after my appointment time to get my hair cut but if I show up 12 minutes late I get turned away and told to reschedule because they don't want to keep others waiting lol makes no sense at all. I have waited 10-20 minutes after my scheduled time literally over 10 times since coming here. So, I guess it's just my time that doesn't matter unfortunatley. I gave this place another chance after being turned away for being 10 minutes late even though I have sat there waiting twice that long more times than I can remember. This last time I again waited longer than I was late when I was turned away. My haircut was like 50% effort, they didn't even trim my neck hair!!!
I have a gift card with like $23 on it that I can't gift to someone else and based on my last experience I'm not even going to go back. They can keep my money for doing nothing. I honestly can't believe they didn't even trim my neck hair. I really feel like there wasn't much effort put into my haircut and with the wait times and interruptions I just can't go back anymore. It's a shame because I know the owner and truly like him but I won't be treated like this or pay anymore money for these low grade experiences. It saddens me to say all of this but I won't be treated like this. Thanks for the wonderful experiences when I first started coming to you but over the last 6 months it has only gone down hill in my customer experience and quality/care/effort of my haircut. I feel like the girl that did my last cut didn't really try and was surprised when I still tipped her.
Justin, maybe someday our paths will cross again but I do wish you the best of luck on your...
