So today was a good day. I got a call from the owner of Baers and she did the right thing. She told me she would honor the Black Friday price for the swivel chairs that she advertised at a special price but ran out of inventory before Black Friday even arrived.
And she apologized for the runaround and hassle I went through.
I think what is important here is that this is a family run business that - in the end- when the owner had a choice to make- they did the right thing. They acted like prudent business people trying to make customers happy and elevate the reputation of their business.
I still think baers is a good store and I am only giving 3.5 stars because it took so long for them to get it right in this case. But we all make mistakes and I will not hold this against them. I’d go back and I do recommend them.
Can I be so bold as to give some advice? Please set up a “ rain check” policy. If you advertise an item and you run out- give a rain check to those who came to the store to get the deal you offered. So they can buy it at the advertised price. Publix does this. It’s smart.
And you would have received a 5 star review from the start.

Update ( still 1 star) 12-9-23
Well the store responded to my review above and told me to get in touch with a store manager. So I called and asked to speak with a manager. They did call me back but the news was not good at all. I was told that I could buy the Black Friday swivel chairs when they restock in the spring BUT I would have to pay full price. What good is that?
I tried to buy the special they advertised PRIOR to Black Friday but they were sold out ( I do not believe they had any at the Black Friday price honestly). Now, the manager said they would not honor the Black Friday price even though they did not have them available for Black Friday either. So what was the point of asking me to contact a manager?
The other weird part is I was told by a coworker ( who also tried to buy it at Black Friday but was told they oversold and had “ none left”) but he WAS able to get the Black Friday price ( by ordering for delivery in the spring) when they had none available for him at the Black Friday sale??
So it turns out that not everybody is treated equally it seems.
Like I said above- I am a repeat customer at Baers and my initial experience with this store was excellent. Great sales woman. Good service. Everything was good. I have a great leather sofa from them. I cannot imagine how the store went from a five star review to a zero?

feel totally cheated. What a waste of time by everyone involved.
I got a postcard for a Black Friday special for swivel leather chairs at $288 ( see the picture below) and when I tried to buy the chairs “ it was all of a sudden out of stock”. I don’t know but that just seems like a bait and switch.
Why send me a postcard? Why tell me to come into the store when I called about it? What’s the point if you do not have the product?
Black Friday special - and today is 11:17 - way before Black Friday.
I am a repeat customer. I bought a Natuzzi leather sectional at Baers not too long ago. I have shopped Baers before and I had a better experience ——-but at this point I do not believe this is on the up and up.
Baers- if you are listening I am disappointed. Running out of inventory on the special low priced Black Friday item does not leave me feeling like a cared for customer. And it’s not a good look for the store.

The only reason she did was in response to my negative review (she made that clear to me that was why she was contacting me). Otherwise, I would still be trying to obtain a response and order the part I needed. Further, I question this will improve your service - if so, you would have offered to provide the item to me at a meaningful discount, rather than offering an insubstantial one (which I politely declined on principle). My concerns were not fully addressed AFTER the review either. And if you see my prior reviews, I limit them to positive ones but given your handling of the matter, I felt it important to do so. UPDATE: Once I posted this review, within an hour I received a call from Jennifer in Corporate. Surprise, surprise, she came back with the information about the wireless adapter/battery and is having Mr. Levine call me so I can order the $399 product. No real apology, and no acceptance of responsibility - Ms. Levine claimed she never received any calls from me. While I appreciate the call back from Jennifer (and thank you!), it is obvious that the only reason for the response was the negative review (which I stand by particularly since they provided no meaningful apology other than offer a paltry discount off the part). At least I can get the piece now! Also check out their reviews on other sites like Yelp, Baer's ratings are much, much lower than on Google.
Bought a beautiful Natuzzi sofa from Paulette Levine. She was extremely helpful until she made the sale. We have contacted both her and the Baer's staff about the specs for a wireless adapter and battery (even calling her cell numerous times). ZERO response. I guess once you make a purchase from Baer's they want nothing else to do with you....

This family-run chain of furniture stores is the place to go.
The inventory: It's a VERY large store with a remarkable selection of tasteful, classic furnishings and accents for every room - modern, contemporary, tropical, etc.
The service: Outstanding.
A sales person greets you as you walk in the door (it appears to be on a rotational basis).
I was met by Annie. She asked the right questions and offered to help guide me through the store. However, I prefer to browse solo. She read the room and let me do my thing. She knows how to offer the right amount of attention to each customer's liking.
Annie even tracked down and secured two lamps at the WPB store that weren't in stock at the Boca location. That took less than five minutes!
The store offers everything from my desired hands-off approach to in-house designers and everything in between.
Leslie at the office made the purchase and delivery scheduling as smooth and easy as possible.
I also made a small miscalculation with my original purchase - Leslie and the office graciously righted my wrong when they could have easily done otherwise.
Just really nice people.
The delivery: A white-glove experience
Raul and his two guys showed up exactly at the promised hour. They even called to notify me when they were ten minutes away.
The men didn't rush, demonstrated extreme care and arranged everything to our liking. They even continually closed the doors behind them to keep the house cool. Very thoughtful.
Super professional, gracious and friendly.
